Thanks to Mike (dieselbreath) for getting me setup with this one. He was also kind enough to bring the car here and also help out alot. :thx

The owner of this car just bought it, he is in his early 70s. :2thumbs:

The car needed some love for sure. Paint had a decent amount of oxidation, water spots and some light swirls. So yes only 3500 miles, but it sat either in a shop or outside for a while.

Mike asked the new owner not to wash it. Who knows how long it was since it was washed by the previous owner or if it ever had any wax on it.

Somehow the top was in decent shape, but there was no sign of any water beading at all on the top.

Interior carpet was not nice at all. All the trim had a nice coat of dust on it. No floormats in the rear.

Motor got:

light water spray

777 APC 1:4

After dwelling for 10 mins, light rinse.

Remove excess water with compressed air.

Scrubbed all wheel wells and tires with 1:4 777 APC

Wheels got PB SnR

Top got 303 fabric top cleaner via brush and rinsed till no sign of soap, then rinsed some more.

Washed body with dawn.

Brought the car inside and clayed with bodyshine #49 and blue magic clay. The paint was rough, but I have clayed worse.

Mike went to work on the interior.

carpets:

Vac and vac some more.

Folex and agitated with a MF were needed, extracted with ridgid

Mats were beat against a tree outside untill most of the sand/dirt was gone. :chuckle: Then folex and extracted with ridgid.

Trim and leather got 1:10 777APC wipedown

Trim got 303

Leather got Duragloss leather treatment.

Mike kicked some major ashe and got the interior looking great!!!!

Exterior:

All paint got HTEC/OP via white LC VC pad at 1500

Hood and trunk got 106ff/RMG via Green P2 pad at 1300

Top got 303 fabric treatment.

50/50 wipedown

3x Z5pro

Z8

This job was ment to be a one step polish. EC/OP finsihed down very well with a white LC pad (thanks RAG) I could not resist doing the 106ff on the hood and trunk. Sorry no sun shots after. No cars in the yard this week as I just layed down some seed for the fall. I would say that I was able to remove most if not all of the swirls and reduce the water spots by 80%.

Black trim got PB TR

Tires got Z-16 2x

My final pics below and all the pics above were taken with my Canon S2.

Bryan,

Nice work as always. Early 70's?! That's one cool senior citizen!!!! I hope he will sign up for this board!

How anyone can let a 03 anniversy terminator get in condition like that is beyond me.

Awesome turn around on the interior and the paint :2thumbs:

Thanks everyone for your kind words.

Very nice glow. What are your thoughts on the Duragloss leather products?

All I have used is the leather conditioner and for something that I can pickup in town is pretty nice. I will still stick with Z-10 on our cars and a yearly treatment of leatherique if needed. :2thumbs:

From what I understand the original owner bought the car for his daughter, then changed his mind about letting her drive it after he realized the power the car had. Props to him for that, but a big  for letting the car stay in that condition. :nixweiss

Great results, its good to see that people are still buying Mustangs that way they're supposed to be - with a third pedal! Especially given the fact that he is 70! I agree, he is got to be one cool guy :)

The condition of the car looked horrible before you lay your magic hands to it and now it looked like brand new after your make over job, excellent work :2thumbs: .
