2003 Ford Expedition - 47 pics

So I received my first response from craigslist after 2 weeks. He had just bought a used 2003 Ford Expedition and wanted it detailed. The previous owner didn't detail it and lowered the price accordingly. I quoted him a price range over the phone and he said his budget was my min. charge. So I went to take a look and it was in pretty bad shape. We agreed on price and came back the following day to detail it. I didn't look inside when I first inspected the vehicle. Bad idea. It was pretty filthy.

This was my first time detailing a suv and now i truly understand why we charge more. I spent the whole first day doing the interior and had to come back the next day for the exterior.

My fav photo

2 lessons learned. Next time, I definitely need to do a thorough inspection before quoting and that SUVs are a pain in a$$ to detail. I’ve seen some detailers only charge $25 more for SUVs, don’t know how they do it. I’m thinking more like $50-$100 more….

Fortunately the owner was really happy and wants me to do his silver c-class next. Just got my Makita 9227c and waiting for my 5 backing plate so hopefully it won’t take 21 hrs next time!

Thanks for looking
