awesome work, the Vette looks amazing! Souveran just rocks. I onyl wish it was more durable, I'd use it on my van...

Zet said:Scott, how would you describe the difference between Souveran and CMW on the Z06 in person? It's a bit hard to tell just by pictures.
I use a quick release keychain and hook the car keys on to my own set of keys. If I ever forget to leave the keys, I notice right away when I put my own in the ignition.Scottwax said:That is where I put the keys when I am detailing a car. I used to put them in my pocket until I left with the keys a few times. :nervous2:

i have a question on the souvern streaking, or maybe just a general question.
Since the souvern may have streaking problems ( upon removal ) it does not compromise the bonding ability ??
and if the detail spray helps with the streaks, what can be done with OCW that streaks in cooler weather ??
we are having some mild weather here in chi-town and the surrounding areas, and the snow and salt are going away, so it would be nice to wash with ONR and then hit the cars with some OCW, so how can you help the streaking problem :think2
Scottwax said:I think the main problem might be the polishing oils in the polishes that can be harder to remove completely in colder/humid weather on the first pass, so maybe using some QD after polishing and before waxing would help.
Usually, I only have minor streaking issues with OCW if I use too little, or put it over an oily polish like Vanilla Moose.
Scottwax said:I was able to compare side by side with the two but to be fair to the Souveran, it was applied a month ago (I wax the Z06 the second Saturday of each month). However, he hadn't washed the car and it only rained very lightly on it once, plus I had just washed it with ONR. When I looked from a Souveran panel to an adjacent CMW panel, the CMW panel was a bit darker and more reflective. Wetness appeared equal, maybe a big more depth on the Souveran side. Fresh application vs fresh application, CMW is typically a bit darker, Souveran a bit deeper-not huge differences though. Most people would be completely happy with either.
