I am planning on getting a carnuba "kit." I am thinking Souveran, maybe Blitz. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Main question is, would you recommend Omega Hand Glaze or IHG? Also, any thoughts on OGSO over Souveran?

Thanx a ton,

Brett

With the souveran for QD use one that has carnauba so it can help replenish it but you do not have too.

Pinnacle makes a QD but I have not used it.

Omega Hand Glaze is a pre-wax cleaner/polish. It's more comparable to P21S Paintwork Cleansing Lotion than IHG. IHG has no cleaning capability at all.

The topic of Blitz vs Souveran has been covered a few times here on this forum. I'm sure a search will yield some good threads on the topic. But to sum up, Blitz has better durability, but Souveran may provide a slightly better shine, is an extremely easy wax to use and doesn't stain trim. The downside to Souveran is the durability (which isn't ALL that bad) and the price (which I don't think is all that bad either)

Before you apply Souveran/Blitz for the first time, prep the paint to remove all surface contaminants and imperfections. Whether or not OHG is part of your surface prep plan is up to you. Then top everything off with a coat of Souveran/Blitz. Thereafter, you would use IHG followed by Blitz/Souveran as regular ongoing maintenance for your car.

I've used OGSO over Souveran before and it works fine. I've also used Pinnacle Crystal Mist, E1 Wipe and Shine and they all work fine as well. Any QD containing carnauba would probably be your best choice (OGSO, Crystal Mist, Clear Pearl).

*edit: sorry for the typo in the title! Mod wanna fix for me?*

This M5 was dropped off for a 2 day correction and needed every bit of that time and more. In fact it needed 3 days, so I pulled an allnighter to give it that extra time. Much sleep was caught up on after the owner took it home smiling :)

Because I was pulling and allnighter I had no time for correction pics as I normally would. But I did at least get a couple to show the correction, though I wish I had taken more.

Top corrected with M105 and orange pad, so only compounded so far. Refining polishing yet to be done. Bottom part uncorrected.

Finished pics. Overcast day unfortunately.
