2001 silver Mitsubishi -- SSR Advice

Going to use my PC 7424, Orange SONUS pad, and some SSR tomorrow on dad's car.

I only used my PC once before (about speed 3 - 3.5)...folks are saying to use it at a faster speed. I just put it on a fast speed in my room and at speed 5 that thing ROCKS!! I guess I have to get used to it.

Assuming I use something like speed 4.5-5.0 and the Orange pad, what SSR should be OK for a car which has been hardly washed and never waxed, SSR 2 or 2.5? Not that it's critical, dad isn't afraid of damaging it, it looks so bad. lol

The car is very gritty and it's either got only clearcoat or silver paint exposed. There's NOTHING on this thing, 3 years old, but never garaged or maintained.

If you have clay, I would suggest starting there. As a word of advice, always start with the least abrasive method first. Try the SSR2, if that doesn't work go to 2.5. Then finish up with a final polish like SSR1 or PP (in the Poorboy's line), and finally, wax or seal all of that up. Good luck on it, and post some pics when you are done.

Nick pretty much sumed it up you should be just fine I found that using ss2 with a polishing pad at 5 o 5.5 works very well. Lets us know how it goes and post pics if you can I never get tired of pics
