Wow I wish I could do that kinda stuff with my dad! He is just way to busy to do that kinda stuff :( . Dan you are a great guy and have really helped me out with my car. I thank you for that and may you have many great experiences with your son, showing him your vast knowledge of car detailing. Oh and I think the prelude looks AMAZING. I never knew you could get such awesome results by spray painting! Keep up the good work!

I still can't get over the fact that you used spray cans. Your son must be thrilled! :bow My son is only 5 (almost 6), but you've given me a great idea for 10 years from now.

How do you think they paint a car to begin with? Its basicly just really good sprayed paint. Spray paint usually doesn't look good because the spray isn't that good. If you pick a cheap can of paint it will spit the paint out and make drips. There are some paints you can get that spray nearly good as an air brush. You just have to take your time with it and not lose your patience. If you are really careful with it and pick a high quality paint then you can get really good results. I've done some spray paint work that looks just as good as a factory job because of the way I put it on and the kind of paint that it was. You just have to not slop it on. I'm sure that dlw took his time with that job. It definatly paid off. :up

Dude you rock:up. I am awed by the results you have gotten from spray paint;) .

It is disappointing that others would only mock and insult what you and your son have done. I bet they drive around with cut springs and unpainted bodykits.

I wish you and your son a blast as he continues to learn to drive.

Godspeed to you both.

I just wanted to add a TWO THUMBS up!

That is one awesome restoration and I can hardly believe that was done with paint cans!

Keep up the good work :xyxthumbs

Thanks for looking!!!

Great work there, got a S600 coming soon to work on.
Thanks! Good luck on your S600, they are HUGE vehicles!
Nice turnaround, the finish looks great!

Thank you!
Nice work, that black looks great. What sort of durability do you find with that wax?

Thanks! I don't get much testing in the way of durability because I am such a wax whore, however I put this same wax on my brothers Dodge Ram ands it's been going strong for 3 months. I don't doubt it has good durability because IIRC it's suppose to be a blend of a carnuba and a sealant.

Great job on the S430. There were some nasty swirls on that baby, and you really knocked them out. The reflections that you got look just sick.

Thanks for sharing this with us.
