This was my 2nd time using my new hitachi rotary so I knew it was going to take a while. I started with a small section of the hood trying the following:
Excel orange pad and PG at 1500 4-5x-not much reduction at all.
3M foam compounding waffle pad/PG/1500 3x-Better but still not getting it done.
Milwaukee twisted wool pad Megs #4 heavy cut/1600-2x she is cutting very well now. I only had one pad and knew the #4 was going to get it done. I did the hood and roof w/ this combo.
I only had so much #4 left so I cleaned the wool pad and switched to PG. There seemed to be less micro-marring with the PG then there was with the #4.
