I did my friends 2000 Golf today. It was in TERRIBLE shape and I thought the majority of the scratches on it were incorrectable.

Some Before shots:

Afters In Next Post.

Here are some after shots.

I will take some direct hood shots of the car, hopefully, tomorrow when the owner comes back. I try to eliminate as many swirls as possible without sacrficing too much clearcoat depth. I could possibly eliminate an even greater majority of them, but I feel that the risk of permanently diminishing a large portion of the clearcoat is not worth the minimal imporvemnt.

This car needed some TLC and it got it today. I and the owner are both pleased with the results and will add another coat of Klasse Sealant Glaze tomorrow.

We initially washed and clayed the car. Simple Green car shampoo (not the engine wash stuff) and Meguires Clay. Followed it with another wash of the same stuff. Using P21S car shampoo on already prepared surfaces, and this stuff on dirty cars.

I wanted to take a break from the regular Poorboys and Klasse Stuff, so I did the whole car in Meguires Products.

#2 Fine Cut Cleaner x 2 (3x on hood and roof, since they were terrible) with a Cutting Pad (Orange Lake Country)

#7 Show Car Glaze was next. Caked my Polishing Pads just like #2 so I only did one pass.

ScratchX on the ridiculously scratched areas with a Polishing Pad.

NXT Applied with a Finishing pad.

Meguires endurance on the tires. Poorboys wheel cleaner and Never-dull on wheels. Poorboy's trim restore on all plastic and rubber.

Scratch X isnt intended for machine use but it looks like you got all of the problem areas taken care of.

How did Scratch X work via PC? I am curios to hear.

Worked out fine.

I wasn't too sure how it was going to work out either, but the owner said give it a try and so we did.
