I can't believe that you made that amount of improvement with just SIP! You didn't use anything more aggressive?



I would have gone straight to a compound on paint that bad!

SIP with the wool pad did a whole lot of correcting. I was going to try M105, but I started with SIP first with the foamed wool pad and that did the job. I was a bit apprehensive to try the M105 because of the cold humid weather we had in Riverside this weekend.

Well Doc, I would have to say that you made a good call in not trying the M105 with the weather we are having.



I did give it a try (my first time using it) and I can't say that it was a very pleasant experience. Very short working time, and it was "flashing" very quickly. I started out using a yellow LC foam pad, and the results were not very impressive at all. Switched to the PFW and things went MUCH better, (though still not quite as smoothly as I would have liked in terms of ease of use). I won't make that mistake again though: if I need serious correction/cutting power, forget about the foam.



Anyway, I think the humidity and cold weather probably had a negative impact on the usability of the M105.

I still can't believe how you were able to get rid of some of those scratches, as they looked really deep. Especially just using SIP! :eek:

It took several passes with the wool pad and yellow pad, then followed by the 5.5" orange pad. I am sure it would have been faster with M105.

Thanks! Yeah, people keep telling me that it is either a different car or a paint job. She took it to work today and people were amazed. Now everyone there wants me to do their car.

Heck yes. I only do it for free when the car belongs to family or a friend or if it is a car that I like and I really want to detail; otherwise, I get paid.:xyxthumbs
