$200 starter kit

What kind of sorcery is this opti-seal??? It`s been a while since I last visited autopia, but this is just plain mad... One product that makes everything look great (glass, body...) with a quick spray (on wet surfaces no less) and then just wipe off with a towel??
Well, let`s see the list so far:

Opti-seal $32
3 pack of DMT towels $21
P&C 7424xp $120
Optimum No Rinse $16
Poorboy World Polish with sealant $18
Clay sponge? Clay towel? I haven`t found a suitable one yet.. And it`s already $207 BEFORE tax. No problem at all, just pointing it out.

Which all-around pad do you guys recommend so I can buy lots of it? And also, should I use opti-seal with the polisher? My car is full of light scratches and some swirls, can I remove them with the above products alone?

I can`t thank you guys enough, you`re being extremely helpful. Hopefully I`ll be able to post some pictures soon.

I see that im too late in this thread but where did you find Opti-Seal to be $32? Its $22 right here on Autopia, 845 although a really nice product is only $3 cheaper and IMO Opti-seal is 800x easier to put on. Oh well, maybe next year you will try the Opti-seal and be hooked like some of us are.

it was (still is) $32 in amazon, collinite is $19. I`ll definitely try opti seal in the future, I was too strapped for cash this time. I also saw a lot of videos comparing both products, collinite seems to hold its own pretty well, wouldn`t you say?

Thanks!

Are we working off the assumption that the wash/dry is already taken care of?

I mean...my polishers will sit unused for ages and LSPing only happens a few times a year, but I`m washing all the while.

Nothing wrong with 845, and used properly a bottle should last for *MANY* years, and I don`t mean just four or five. Even if you also use it on trim.

Only way I`d try to do a whole vehicle with one pad would be with MF, and I wouldn`t do that either.
