#20 vs NXT

I may not be the master searcher, so if someone can already find a discussion on the differences between Meguiars #20 "Mirror Glaze" their polymer sealant, and NXT their OTC syntetic cleaner wax, I'd gladly just read that.

But that said, while I'm probably either going to pick up some NXT or a gallon of Final Detail this weekend, I'd like to know if I should not get NXT and then get a 64 oz of #20.

16oz of NXT and 16oz of #20 are right there in price at around $16, or a buck an oz. But you can get 64oz of #20 for $37. But there is also the shelf life question, as I'm not a pro.

Advice/Observations? I'd really like to hear from people who have used #20 recently and also NXT.

Thanks

I have used both on a light colored car, so take this for what it's worth...

NXT has a deeper look, closer to a carnuba.

#20 has a nice reflective and clear look.

I didn't notice too much difference between application of the two products. For both, I applied to the entire car, did the tires, and wiped off the residue. I would warn that with #20, trim staining is a big factor. I haven't noticed the same results with NXT.

I don't think you can go wrong with either, but I don't use either one enough to make a final judgement on durability or shelf life.

PS: Don't "maybe" the FD. Get it. That is a command:D

I've used #20 as a base for NXT and #16, plus by itself. Like thinksnow said, NXT has a somewhat warmer, more carnauba look, so if you have a dark car, you may like NXT more. #20 on silver, white and other light colors looks great and it is easier to use than NXT because you can do a section or two at a time and remove, no waiting.

Really, this should be a big topic that I would love to hear Mike Phillips talk about more. I am really concerned on a comparison between these two in terms of durability. I have both of them, and would love to use the one that is the most durable under my s100.

I'd go with #20 then if you want to top it. I have used #16 over #20 with terrific results and durability. #16 has a similar look to S100, btw.
