1Z products, are they worth it

It's a good thing Macgirl did'nt notice that you called her Detailgirl, or vice versa Accumulator. If you would've caught either one of them on the wrong day, that could've gotten ugly  LOL But to answer the thread, the MP is definetely worth it in my book...:bow

I have been a detailer for quite some time now. There is a distributor here for Einszett in the San Diego area that gave me some samples of the products. He gave me a small sample of the Metallic Polish and Wax, Paint Polish, and the Hart Glanz.

Like I said, I have been a detailer for quite some time. I have had to use clay bar, etc. just to get the finish clean. All I have to say is WOW! I have never seen anything like it. I have used almost everything under the sun. Currently we purchase 3D products to outfit my vehicles. Now... It looks like my vehicles will be set up with the Einszett products pretty soon.

Not all of the products are available in larger sizes yet though. The distributor is a pretty easy to talk to person, and has answered most of my questions. He referred me to this site to understand the community a little more. Normally I do not post on sites because I usually work my rear end off around this time. Today it might rain, so I am home paying the bills and what not.

I purchased the larger container of the Metallic Polish and Wax, my customers love the stuff as well. I used to detail about 6 cars a day by myself. Now I am detailing about 10-14 cars a day. Depending on how they looked before.

My only gripe about the Einszett Hart Glanz is the fact that it lasts a long time! Some of my customers have me washing and doing a basic service on a weekly schedule with a full detail about once a month. If I keep using the Hart Glanz on top of the Metallic Polish and Wax they will not need me as much, which affects my earnings. So with my not so frequent customers I use the Hart Glanz, otherwise I apply an extra coat or two of the Metallic Polish and Wax.

I have used Klasse, megs, zaino, and a ton of others through the years and, they are not entirely priced for the professional detailer. Einszett products are a little more expensive but, they go on quick, buff out quick, look better than anything I have ever used. I may even outfit my other vehicles as well. I am still testing though. There are literally a ton of products. If they all work half as well as the others then, I might be onto something.

How many of the professional detailers here use the items, and have you examined the bottom line of what you are spending and what your profits are yet?

RHDetailing- Welcome to Autopia! Coming from an experienced professional, your 1Z testemonial is quite impressive, but doesn't really *surprise* me since I think the line is great too :D

I wonder if any of our pros here *do* use 1Z stuff...I'd suspect that the ease-of-use (and even the look) often fails to outweigh the cost/economies of scale when compared with products from other lines.

Is the Metallic you're using the "Pro" version in the round 1-liter can or is it the "consumer stuff" (pink product color)? If it's the former, for what you're using it for I might try the WaxPolish Soft instead (but it's a bit more expensive).

OMG! [Accumulator smacks self upside head] Apologies to all involved parties, previous careless post now edited :o

Gee, that's a great way to make a lasting impression :sosad

A close friend of mine is a professional detailer as well, and he was the one that turned me onto the Einszett products. I purchased a 1.3 gallon container of the Metallic Polish and Wax, which is the same product he had as well.

I think next week I am going to purchase another 2 1.3 gallon containers of the stuff and give it to two of my other vehicles to use. The stuff works great and I would hate to not be able to make more money and supply a better shine!

This week I tried the "Pro" line of the product and it is in fact different from the other. I am still experimenting with the "Pro" line. The pro line appears to be more for the paint and restoration business than detailing though. Like I said, I am still playing with it. I am probably going to go on out to the garage and experiment a little more. The big difference though is the fact that one is silicon based and the other is not. protection from elements, rain, dust, and what not. The silicon based products seem to be more in line. If you are hitting up a show car or laying down fresh paint, then the pro line may be a better choice. I am not too sure yet but, I will experiment with them a little more.

I have a hood off a car I purchased from a salvage yard, and that is my test environment for any product I use. The Einszett stuff I sectioned off the hood and used different techniques and even compared it to my "Special Saturday Night Special" blend and it blew the doors off it! I determined a little secret to the Hart Glanz though. Higher speed = Better luster. I even took the buffer to my setting of "insane warp speed, beginners need not apply or you will go through the metal speed!" and WOW! pretty impressive. I did notice that additional coats of Glanz Wax are a complete waste of time though. That's what I noticed anyway.

I tried the cockpit premium cleaner, it's too gentle as one of the above posters mentioned, won't get out scuff marks. I guess I should have bought their more aggressive 1z vinyl cleaner right from the start.(instead try magic eraser by mr clean) it did brighten up the panels a bit, since it's pretty gentle it can be used every other week I think.

I have the glass polish (tiny bottle), , did not get rid of my water streaks but I think they are etched ito the glass anyway so I wasn't expecting it to work, just gave it a shot.

I can see reasons to use both versions. With my Audis' hard clear and my choice of LSP, the Pro version just makes more sense for me. When I'd normally use the "pink version", I now use the WaxPolish Soft.

Interesting about the high speed. Your observations about the GW not "layering" confirms what I suspected about it, thanks for the info.

I have just ordered 1ZMP for my new silver metallic car. What would you follow 1ZMP with? Klasse, Blackfire, S100? I am confused? Does it contain wax in it? Not sure what LSP means... Thanks.

LSP= Last Step Product/Process

I'd top the MP with either 4-Star UPP or Meg's #16. Or maybe Collinite in the winter.

The MP has wax in it, so there might be a little bonding issue with the UPP unless you a) get the Pro version of MP or b) let the UPP set up for a good long while before buffing it off.

Or you could top it with Glanz instead.

Thanks Accumulator. I ordered the 1ZMP from Autopia store. It should come today. Not sure which one it is. I think it is the red can (picture on website). Einszett website shows a pink can in th size I ordered and a larger red can. Confused as too what will arrive in mail today?

I'd go with Accumulator's suggestion and either top it with 4*upp, or either the klasse or p21s that you named as it sounds like you have them in your arsenal already. If you ordered from the autopia store, you will receive the smaller consumer can of mp(which is not a bad thing). The big one on the einzett website is the pro version which is a little bit stronger than the consumer version. You'll love the mp...

Dont forget the isopropyl mix/Prepsol option to reveal any left over swirls and to be 110% assured your LSP will bond with no issues at all.

Several of us here would recommend the 1Z Perls shampoo. This is my favorite in between my staple of P21S shampoo. Perls is very high in lubricity and leaves a terrific finish.

Many think highly of this line. :)

Yes, I would be one of them!
