1Z Perls Experience & Question

SilverLexus

Super Enthusiast
I tried some Einszett Perls shampoo yesterday and found it to be a mixed bag. The lubricity was incredibly high and the water just seemed to sheet off - I have 2 layers of P21S wax on my Lexus. The thing that I did not like is that suds level was low.

Am I missing something here or do others have better experience?

Is lubricity better than suds or is having both better?

I actually had no problem with the container dispensing...so far I am quite fond of P21S, Z7, and Eagle One Wet. Was less impressed with Sonax.

In any event the car looks very good. Also, thanks to Nick Martinez at DP. Superb delivery and packaging. I think it's the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Thanks in advance for your comments. :xyxthumbs

I undertstand your dilimma. When I used Perls for the first time I too was disappointed with the lack of suds. Actually thought this product su#Ked but after completing the wash job I was extremely impressed with Perl's performance. One of my top car shampoos now. :xyxthumbs

I'd suggest you try the 1Z Exclusiv Glanz Shampoo or Griot's Garage car shampoo. They are both exceptional products.

SilverLexus,

I tried 1Z Perls for the first time this morning. I had read about the lack of suds compared to other products beforehand, so I was prepared for that.

I had a lot of dust and pollen on my car, so I was worried about micromarring. The lubricity was excellent and the car looks great.

I like 1Z Perls. For comparison purposes, my previous car wash shampoos were P21S BCS and the Pinnacle shampoo. Perls compares favorably to both, although it does sud less.

I really like Perls but it does not suds up like everything else. It's probably more like a "Wash and Wax" than a "Shampoo".Its lubricity is incredible and will remain as my favourite.I think the container is great!

If you like an excellent sudsing shampoo try Einszett's Exclusive. It is excellent and I alternate between the two.

Thanks for the superb feedback. I think I am placing too much priority on the sudsing action.

I can say my car looks great and the lubricity was remarkable. I tempted to try the Einszett Exclusive and the Griot's again (tried Griots way back in 1997 and liked it for a while).

I think we are so lucky these days. There are so many incredible products to try. When I was just starting out in the 70's,there was Simoniz and not much else.In the 80's,I discovered Porzelack and Meguiars and sold a lot of it.In the 90's came the Zymol phenomenon and everything has just snowballed since.

It's pretty hard to go wrong with any quality product now.

I have to agree with LWR...I used to detail in the late 80s and the product selection and quality was nothing compared to today. The technology in terms of chemistry, microfiber, etc. has exploded. I think we probably owe Zymol some credit for building out the market (as we consultants often say) so that even better stuff is more viable.
