Product Name: 1Z Einszett Windscreen Clear 16.9 oz
Bought from Amazon for $11.33 shipped using Prime.
As listed on bottle.
Directions: Mix equal parts of Windscreen Clear concentrate and water and pour contents into spray bottle. Apply Windscreen Clear onto the surfaces to be cleaned. Use a lint-free cloth to clean surface. Use only as directed. Please recycle empty container.
NOTE TO CALIFORNIA USERS: Follow only these directions. Windscreen Clear must be mixed with water in the ratio of 1 part Windscreen Clear with no less than 1 part water before the product is used to meet VOC requirements.
My take on the bottle:
The note to California users seems a bit redundant considering their directions were the exact same thing, equal parts or 1:1, but seeing as one website I visited will not even ship this to California I don't believe there was a way to get around putting this note on the bottle.
The bottle itself looks like something you might find at your local dollar store. Cheap looking with a generic looking label. Luckily I had heard enough about this company to really want to give this a shot.
Using the product:
Per the directions, about half of the bottle was dumped into a spare spray bottle and diluted the concentrate with distilled water in the original bottle. One plus is I did not know I was even buying a concentrate since it came in a spray bottle so getting twice as much as I expected already made me pretty happy.
Smell is sort of a cross between a light bathroom cleaner and mint which probably doesn't sound all that great but to date is the most pleasant smelling window cleaner I have used.
The cheap looking bottle and sprayer redeemed itself instantly after the first spray. The spray nozzle feels more durable than it looks and produces a very nice, fine, wide, uniform spray and clung to the window very well. A little bit of product really did go a long way and as stated on the bottle left a completely streak free finish with minimal buffing.
Next I really want to try this stuff out in direct sunlight on a warm day to see if it performs just as well in those conditions and if so then I will be sure to always have a bottle of this on hand.
