This vehicle is a friend of mine and she wanted the pinstripe removed. She said the previous owner [cough/"was gay"/cough] took pretty good care of the car--no major scratches. There was a little acid rain etching. Hope you likes--I definately think that it looks better w/o the silver pinstripe.
pre-pinstripe removal:
I was able to do this one side in about 4.5 hrs on a cold March day. The other side took about 1.5 hrs(just pinstripe) on a 60+ degree day.
BTW, for a week she rode around w/ one side of the car totally done and the other not--so ghetto fabulous!
tire/rims:
hood before:
hood after: (that white spot is the moon)
complete:
Process includes: (exterior only)
wash, heat gun, pampered chef stone scraper, 3m rubbing compound, 3m smr, PB PwC, 4*UPP, Meguiar's tire dressing (grape smelling stuff)
I initially used my fingernail and the heat gun on the pinstripe for about 1.5 hrs--then my friend had the idea to use the stone scrapper. It works! BTW, I removed the adhesive residue w/ a dupont product.
