:xyxthumbs Outstanding Job Barry. What a great ressurection.

I got one question How hard was it to get the lugs off? I remember having to do shocks on a Porsche and the lugs were frozen on. The strongest of impact guns couldn't break them. And I wanted to be super cautious considering they are aluminum. Ended up standing on a two foot breaker bar to get them SOB's free.

Thanks Unleashed fury Yes those sob's were tuff lol

incredible transformation Barry. I love your attention to detail specially on the parts that customers usually don't pay attention to ...

How do you like Ardex products? I have been using some of them with great results, but I haven't tried their polishes/compounds yet. I love their citrus clean interior smell-good spray ... pretty durable and pleasant.

Gianni thanks for the kind words. Ardex is like a lot of companies that make great products. I do have my personal favorites with Ardex, then I have used some where its like what is someone thinking? In all seriousnous they have a great chemical line. Probaly one of the best out there. There compounds 1000,1500,3000 are great. I love them, but keep in mind I have been using them for years now. except for 3000 its new. They have great customer service and just outstanding group of people. No hype just great products.

Sorry pal, I don't buy that ;) *I* woulda had complete confidence in ya :hifive:

*400* ?!? :shocked Sheesh, you're still able to shock me with the wetsanding.

Hey folks, this is coming from a guy who doesn't waste time. EIGHT [expletive-ing] HOURS. After it was already corrected.

Heh heh, OK, I'll admit it,...I woulda just run to the Porsche dealer for new ones :o

How well do you have to prep for the 3M to adhere? I'd been wondering how you'd deal with the surface rust (my approach woulda taken forever).

Also, interesting that you did this step *after* all the paint correction; I woulda been paranoid about overspray and I usually do the undercarriage stuff first.

Oh, and did you use your top-secret dressing on all the plastics? Like the steering column stalks/etc.?

Accummulator Ill get back to on the 3m stuff thanks bud! No I didn't use that stuff on the interior.

A good friend of mine once said to me. Barry usually when others are done is when I beginning to get started. So I thought ok Ill see what he means. At this point I considered the paint polished and looking great, but I wanted to raise the level of gloss on this. I choose to use Menzerna 85rd and a black 6 inch polishing pad. I burnished this paint for over 8 hours on this car. I was really wanted to have this paint reflect light as much as possible.

:lol I see you've been talking to Rydawg. HaHa.

So, how does 85rd compare to anything you've used in the past?

This is what I call RECONDITIONING ! ! ! ! !

Great job BTW!!!

David 85rd is the real deal. Ryan has been on me for ever to try it. I noticed a difference in gloss for sure. Once I got adapted to it. I was like a kid in a candy store. I need to play with it some more on different pads combo's but I'm hooked. Yeah this was a pretty big job thats for sure! Did you see that air blower. I posted that pic for just for you! Thanks Homie.

I don't think too many people have ever left me speechless before, but damn B that is the definition of Attention to DETAIL!!!!

You always bring every detail to another level. I dont even think Ferdinand Porsche could have ever imagined that his masterpiece would look that beautiful. Amazing work Barry and as always I look forward to your next detail!!
