did a massive clean up on a 1999 Mercedes Benz E300 yesterday and had one thing that really became a issue...

absolutely could not remove the crud from the little round power/volume button on the stereo.:hairpull:wall

I tried my woolite(10:1 & 8:2),megs IQD,and even Mr. clean & water(50/50)

any other ideas?

did a search and didn't come up with anything else.

thank you

Well we just purchased a vapor steamer and all we can say is that it has taken "clean" to a whole new level, not to mention cutting down on interior chemical cost and most importantly...time. We have probably cut 1/3 the time down on interiors. I'm sure as our proficiency increases the time will continue to decrease. They are expensive for the commerical units, but so far worth every penny. That is about the only other thing I can offer up, I take it you tried to get in there with a small detail brush with APC?

Which steam cleaner did you pick up? Would you mind elaborating on how exactly you use it to work on the interiors? I have always been interested in picking up a steam cleaner, but never really knew where to start, or how to properly use one.
