Background:
This is my mother in laws car, so It didn't have to be perfect! however I thats not what I do! but I only had 6 hours and I couldn't have it ANY longer than 6, she had somewhere to go. This car hadn't been detailed ever, it had be washed and cleaned and had the standard swirl marks installed by improper drying, but hey I like a challenge!
This car was NASTY, but lets face it, it had NEVER been detailed from crack to crevice!
I started with Green wool via UDM at speed 4 with M95 and did not like the green wool at all, it just didn't leave a finish like I wanted! So I went back to my orange foam pads and wow that did the trick, with the m95 wow that is NICE stuff...
the car was clayed last night for over 3 hours and lets just say the clay didn't stand a chance
Final Process
Evening 1
Clayed the ENTIRE car door jambs and all for 3 hours
Quick detail to remove any thing that might have been missed (20 minutes)
Day 2
Quick Detail (water restrictions prevent car washing with water) :angry
the spoiler has severe clear coat failure....can't correct that
Orange Low Profile Pad with M95 (x2 passes in some areas) most only required 1 pass
White pad with HT-LC
Paint now ready for zaino
Z5-zfx'd x2 coats (this was chosen because well I wanted too use that and not z2!)
Z6 was applied between coats
and after 30 minutes of rest Z8 was the icing on the cake.
Z5 was applied to the rims and ZCS a topper
Grape Dressing on Tires/Wheel wells
Armor All Extreme Shine on the running boards because thats the ONLY thing that would work!
