1995 Mustang Cobra Detail

I detailed my friends 95 Cobra this past Monday. The car is a garage queen which is rarely driven, so it only has 14K original miles on it. It was in really good shape to begin with so it didn't need anything too extensive. I polished it with SSR1 by rotary, hand application of #9 and 2 coats of P21S.

Very nice. That car needs to be driven more! The other half of appreciating a Cobra is DRIVING it!
 
Nice ride and nice work; what type of mods are done to it? I only ask because the battery switch in the rear of the car makes me think it is a pretty serious car :)

My friend has had this car since he graduated high school. Ever since bought it, he hasn't stopped putting money into it. I'm not sure exactly how much money he has into it, but I know it's up there. He just put another $8,000 into it this spring and had it dynoed last week. I forget what the exact number it is but it's somewhere in the 650-675 horsepower range. The car is easily a low 10 second car if not high 9's. I told him he's crazy because he never drives it and keeps sinking money into it. He says that he will have the car until he dies and doesn't care how much money he loses. The way he see's it is that some people are addicted to drugs and spend all their money on them but he's addicted to his car instead. I must say that he does everything the right way and uses only the best components, mechanics, etc... He even deleted the rear seats in the car for weight reasons.

one question, u applied 2 coats of P21S in a row or u wait sometime between them???

I usually wait a couple of hours to add a second coat of P21S if I have enough time. Most of my customer leave their vehicles overnight or even a couple days, so I try to prep the paint and apply my sealant the first day and apply my carnauba topper over it the next day. If I don't have the time to wait between coats, I usually mist the vehicle down with water and wipe it down with a microfiber towel before adding the second coat. I believe that the second coat bonds better and creates a thicker layer if I wipe it with water first, but it might just be me being anal ?
 
I thought that u add a second coat of p21s after 24 h, i just add 2 coats of nattys waiting 1 hour apart, and it shows more depth :)
 
Oh, and I love how it looks bone stock. Not that a stock Cobra should be taken lightly. Nice job makin' her shine!
