Looks awesome!

Question - why do you use mckee`s hydro blue even though you`re coating it with ceramic?

My guess would be for the rims.

Amazing job Sizzle! Way to bring back a classic to it’s glory days

Sizzle Chest:
Did you just treat the interior with 303 Interior Wipes alone, or did you need to "deep clean" the leather and plastic first?
I also assume the wood interior trim is real wood (walnut/maple?) since this is a M-B "S" series, and not fake plastic. What do you clean and treat them with?

The one "2.0" reading on the DeFelsko PTG was a little disconcerting. Where was this reading taken from?

Were the plastic headlight lens covers badly crazed, sand-blasted/pitted, or etched/oxidized?? They look pretty good, but you can tell they`ve seen a "few" miles.

Thanks for saving this "time capsule". Biggest thing I noticed? NO touch/info center screen. Nice to see real analog gauges and switch/knob controls for the HVAC and radio. The owner should be proud on this SAVE ME project. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that hue of blue; looks so royal-and-regal on this M-B S500!

You know, this vehicle looks ALMOST as big as the BMW 740Li you just did, even as a coupe (AKA, two-door). Do you charge by the foot? LOL

[Of course it turned out great, Sizzle Chest simply does great work ;) ]

Sizzle Chest- Thanks so much for sharing this one with us! Gee, that`s so nice....

Even a neglected Benz cleans up great, huh? Can`t beat good build-quality :D Looks like the paint`s getting a bit thin, so I hope the owner *keeps* it nice.

.. that really is not that many miles for a daily-driver that is now 26-model-years old.
That`s what I was thinking, that`s less than either of my two `00 vehicles. Low(ish) miles, one owner, swell color...gee, I might be interested in that if it were for sale!

Thank you everyone! Really appreciate the comments. This was a fun one to work on. The owner just loves this car! He was so excited during the process...always asking if he could stop by for a `peek`, and when I`d text him a few pics would go nuts over them! LOL. He was blown away and just couldn`t stop smiling when he picked it up!!!

I used the Hyrdoblue on the wheels/rims.

Yes, the mileage really isn`t that bad for that many years! He still says it`s a highway cruiser! Once came from Atlanta to SW Florida at nothing under 90mph and said it was awesome. LOL

Glad it didn`t disappoint Mike!

Thanks Accumulator, I will attempt to get him to take care of it properly! Indeed, build quality for sure!

Lonnie: Thank you! Interior was vacuumed, then wiped down with 303. It was in very good shape, just a bit dirty and `dry`. You are correct, the wood was real. That got wiped down with the same.

The lower rocker panels were in the beginning stages of clear failure, they were very hazy/cloudy and dull. That`s where the lowest readings came from.

Headlights were...glass!!

Yep, analog baby! You turn the headlights on with a switch! Imagine that! LOL

Yes, for a 2 door coupe this thing was BIG!

Thanks again everyone!

Every time I click on your posts.... I feel dirty. It`s almost like looking at PornHub or XHampster on my phone. Love your work. i hope to meet you one day.... If you don`t already have a restraining order on me by then
