1995 Chevrolet Impala SS Exterior Correction

Mail a check with the order form filled out.

Faster than that would be to find a distributor. Email Zaino for a list of Distributors in your area.

Based on where you are, it doesn't take long from Sal through the mail. He told me he ships the day he gets your check. I mailed my order from Alabama on a Saturday evening, got my package the next Friday. Based on where you live you might get better turn around.

I don't think Sal takes phone orders or email orders, only mail. Last I checked he wasn't going to do online ordering at this time. There are some online ordering spots, but I don't know if you would get it quicker or not.

Sal ships from NJ. I would call Sal up and find a distributer in your area.

I live in NYC and there is a distributer less than 15 minutes away walking from my school. I will pay him a visit soon, just gotta find someone to change $78 in change into bills. I might just go to one of those coinstar machines. They better not rip me off, but 6% charge is not bad.

I am still debating on going with Zaino. I was hoping there would be a distributor in my area, but Sal says no. Is there anyone in SE MN, Northern IA or Western WI that can show me their car in person? I just want to make sure it's what I want to use before I order!

I live in Rochester, MN.

Thanks!

Jason-

If you or your parents have a bank account, head into a branch and have them turn it into $$$ for you. It's against the law for them to turn you down.

As a matter of fact i just got home from class and my zaino package just arrived... i was shocked. I didn't expect it for at least another 3-4 days. only took 6 days to get here.. i sent my check in the mail on the 21st.. .now it's the 27 and i have my stuff. now i just need to get some fieldcrests ready before the weekend. Anyone know of a place that sells precut and stitched charismas or RVs?

Wow, that's only 3 business days. It took about 7 days (5 bus days) for my order of ZFX several months ago.

The only place that I know of that sells them precut & serged are Zaino distributors. They take CC orders over the phone. Or, if you happen to live near one, you can just pick up a few yourself. I THINK CMA and TOL sell them too, but I can't speak for their quality as I haven't tried them.

Originally I was going to pass on Zaino cause of the time delay between mailing payment and then waiting for ground shipping. Figured online ordering of Klasse would be faster. But I decided to order Zaino. Mailed my order and check on Monday March 18th. Just received the order today Wednesday March 27th in Miami, FL. Wasn't quick, but didn't take forever either.

Recently completed job for a friend of a friend........new to him and in need of of some paint correction.

After the usual wash/decon steps I brought the car back into the shop to remove the side moldings which were toast.

As expected after the wax/glaze than was on the finish before the wash, the finish had RIDS/marring and in some places such as the front and rear bumpers there was oxidation.

Some 50/50 pics......

Correcting whole bumper.

Still during compound stage with Megs D/303.

This is a big car.........did a bunch of these in the late nineties and forgot how much real estate thier was.

012.jpg

50/50 shots of the "B" pillars.

001.jpg

Deep marring.

002.jpg

Corrected.

003.jpg

More marring examples.

007.jpg

A tricky area to correct, had to feather around the emblem gently.

008.jpg

Still during compound stage.

011.jpg

Initially I thought the bumper trim was unsaveable.....

012.jpg

Took some time, but the result was worth it.

013.jpg

Mirror with "The scuffness".

All better.

All finished......pre sun pics.

Awesome turnaround Bob, I don't miss all that real estate on these machines! last one I did was a few yrs back and with the same color too. Thanks for sharing it here with us!

I love these cars. It is a LOT of car to polish, congrats on the great job Bob. I once got to ride in Tim Allen's former Impala SS that had been upgraded with a 4 cam ZR-1 (LT5 at the time) engine. What a thrill. Thanks for posting.

You lucky dog. Tim Allen's car and the GM 510cid show car are a couple of the coveted cars to the die hard Impala guys like me. :notworthy:

I've owned my Impala since 2000 and have added a T56 six speed, Suncoast hood, Wilwood brakes, Tri-y headers, huge sway bars, etc. The car has 190k miles on the original, un-opened engine and still sees road course duty at track days. It is amazing how many people have a soft spot for the 94-96 Impala SS.:out:

It is fun to see a nicely polished Impala here. Post more Impala's!
