1995 Avus Blue M3 restored by dsms: 150pics/+Vids

Before the hand wash I cleaned the wheels. These M3 wheels were an option back in 1995. The Motorsport wheels on this car are forged aluminum and were considerably lighter than the stock wheels offered at the time.

Those wheels were the standard wheels and were definitely not forged, they were cast and they are soft as butter, bending easily combined with the 235/40R17 tires.

Otherwise, very nice detail and correction, Avus Blue is a wonderful color for the E36 M3 (only year this color was available in the US I believe).

Very thorough job........and I love your neighborhood :)

Thank you Anthony! I like my neighborhood as well:laugh:, the neighbors themselves are all very easy when it comes to the water run off etc.. then again I do detail work for just about all of them.

:sadpace: I just went by what the owner told me, guess he knew less about the car that I assumed. He said the motor-sport wheels were an option and they were forged aluminum. Guess I better check the facts next time before I speak for someone else, my mistake... but I thank you for pointing that out so I dont look like an idiot in the future

I kind of figured as much actually and mainly said something for that reason. There are BMW E36 M3 Original Equipment wheels that were forged, but definitely not those ones (the forged versions have five double spokes) and those were the standard issue wheels in for the 1995 models.

Nice job again on the car, you can swing by and work on my Cosmos Schwarz E36 M3 when you are ready. It does have forged wheels (a few sets).
