1992 camaro z28 25th anniversary

WOW - that brings back memories from high school. Everyone owned a 3rd Gen Camaro, or an 87-92 Mustang at my school....or a pick up truck.

Did you instruct the owner on how to maintain your awesome work, or do you figure you'll just do it again in 16 more years? lol

lol well thanks for the kind words there weekend warrior! lol this was a lady who owned this car she promised she would call me every three months for a wax! and maintence clean. it did bring back some memories!

Nice job bringing that paint back. I have never seem that combo before but the M105 finished down nice, I may have to go pick up a bottle.

Excellent work!

Did you seriously wipe it down with glass cleaner? Why not a QD?

yes seriously i did with glas cleaner, the most important thing to me is a true swirl free paint before. you got to keep that paint clean. i found sprayaway a glass cleaner that foams a little more as you can see. this allowed any dust particles that were on the paint to be removed. almost like foam from glass cleaner lifts it. just something i was taught a long time ago. i still do it today. i wouldn't recomned this to anyone mobile outside as the glass cleaner will dry in heat to fast!

Barry - great turnaround. What about M205 did you not care for?

ya know themighttimmah, lol great name by the way. i read your posts and admire what you say, and your work! first off i wanted to say that! the m205 i recently started trying knew products, i have used ardex stuff for years, after coming to autopia i thought i would try some new products. the m105 is great, simaler to most the water based compounds i have used. the m205 something about it. i just couldn't get a feel for it. maybe it just because my first time with the product. it left a great level finish but was a little clumpy for my coice as for as pad went. i clean my pads thoughly a lot while buffing, but it seemed like this dtuff i had to clean my pad every three seconds. maybe i could have went with another pad but i had great reults with that blue edge pad so many times with many polishes. it just wasn't a product for me! different strokes for different folks! i guess.

I use to a car identical to this...and it brings back so many memories..you did a great job!

Awesome work Barry! Seriously nice turn-around.

I played with the new M205 via DA and Rotary today (used Meguiar's solo yellow pad both times) and I must say I didn't have ANY issues with the pad, gumming, etc.

I wonder if you possibly used too much product? Or maybe it was the weather/cold? It was pretty nice out here in San Diego today and the M205 was absolutely perfect for me. I was able to remove 100% of my swirls, finish hologram free, and had very easy removal.

I would consider trying it again with a different pad, different amount of product, or wait for the weather to play nice...I bet you can get it dialed in :2thumbs:

unbelievable turnaround! I love how clean the interior came out along with the conditioning of the rubber gaskets. Your paint work looks great as well! I woulda thought that this car had 100k on the odo before it was detailed.

Amazing recovery, but I think I have to ask what everyone else is thinking....

So.... did she have a mullet?

Thats a sick job! Its nice seeing cars like that look good again. I have a 92 RS and I can only HOPE it looks like that one day!
