1991 Prelude Si 4WS Engine Detail...

Nice car. So, what is it like to drive a 4WS Prelude? I was alway fascinated with the 4 wheel steering.

Like changing lanes, Im sure that feels different then a non 4ws car. Or, what about going around corners fast? Im sure you can make awesome U-turns.

I probly wont ever have the opertunity to drive a 4ws prelude, so if you could tell me what its like, I would appreciate it.

I autocross my 94 Integra GS-R, but I would love to auto cross a 4ws prelude.

Concepts are great but they're just that if they don't make it to market. The *only* Nissan car that came to the USA before the Prelude with 4WS was the 300ZX TT in 1990 (Super HICAS) so that's all we recognize. None of the other 4WS Nissans ever made it at all.
Didn't realize we were only talking about cars in the US. ;) By the way, those older Nissans Skylines are now legal in Canada ;)

The Nissan systems operate differently too. They function at high speeds, I think its 100+ mph. IIRC, the new Infiniti G35/G37 has 4ws at speed.

The point I was making about GM was that they're always on the forefront with developing technology, but while the rest of the companies implement their technologies, GM likes to discuss its' viability for 10 or 15 years.
