1990 L98 Supercharged C4 heavy correction

Awesome work! I love doing black its a true test of your skills and also stuns people how good you can get the paint looking.

What kind of tire dressing did you use? if you used any at all, cause its look like a clean natural finish.

Cheers!

Thank you. He requested a very low shine on them. I used Zaino Z16 tire shine, but the rubber just soaked it up like a sponge. I was gonna put more on but he said he liked it like that.

pics of the engine, or BAN....

sounds like a beast of a car, and you leave out the most important part.

helleva job on the paint though, looks 100x better.

Man that thing was hammered!! Great job and this pic is sweet!! (just photoshop out the tripod reflection)

that's some real swirls. good recover.

Does the PFW pad leave a lot of haze/marring?

It didn't leave any marring with the rotary, but there were holograms that I had to remove after, but that was easy.

Although, in the interest of pic-honesty, I don't photoshop any of my pictures except watermarking them.

Wow, stunning! What a turn around! It looked like it had a cover on it at some point by the looks of the swirls on the fenders, but eh, who knows.

I bet the owner was giddy when he saw it :P

He actually emailed me recently to tell me it got trashed by water sprinklers at a hotel that used recycled water and it needs some correction again. So I will be seeing it soon again. :) He said he can't wait to get it back from me again, that makes me feel good.

24 hours....your making me cry. There goes the labor rate. The work is superb. I am not sure if I should congratulate you or not . Keep up the great work. I get 260.00 for this job . It takes me about 3.5 hours at worst case scenario. My labor rate for correction starts at 70.00 per hour. Its not really my business, please take my statements as constructive. You must be paid for your labors. Correction is involved, to do it right.

Tell the owner its 20 years old and may not be capable of any more correction. During the early 1990s there were a boat load of auto paint mandates. Most companies were just starting to do clearcoats. The government had many mandates and so forth. GM had many peeling problems. That Vette suffered severe NEGLECT. I did one just like it last year. the owner had it parked under a MAPLE for 5 years. I did take his money. The car looked real nice. The job was 300.00. Four hours later I was on my way.

This car could not have been done in 3.5 hours.... I was compensated for my time, have no complaints about it.

And since the surface has a solid coat of zaino on it, the waterspots shouldn't take more than 1 step to remove and its mostly on the hood which is fresh clear.
