1983 Ferrari 308 GTS

What would be the bad (if any) side effects of layering AIO on my car 15 times. I am thinking of using one Saturday for the AIO and the following day to apply two layers of SG and two more layers every day after that.

The more layers you put on the more your vehicle starts to get a candy coated look. The color of the vehicle will also darken. If you like the candy coated look the more coats you have the happier you will be. I had 6 on my car at one point and it looked awesome on black. You may also want to give a couple of more days between coats to let the SG fully cure. Maybe do a coat only once or twice a week.

Yea that is the step I was kind of questioning myself about. If I put on 15..........maybe 20 coats of AIO on my car, the rest of the summer can just be layering on the Klasse SG.

I think you would be better served to put two applications of AIO on then spend the rest of your labor layering on the SG. The AIO has cleaning properties so each time you put another coat on you are mostly removing the previous coat. The SG however has no cleaners and can be layered like you suggested. just my .02 :)

I meant layers of SG, sorry. You should only need to do one of the AIO and possibly two. The AIO is mostly for cleaning the paint. Just concentrate on layering the SG.

One application of AIO is all you should need, none if you properly prep the car. Layer on the SG and allow enough time between coats for curing so that it does not gum up or haze.....

Ok, so you guys are saying just go crazy with the glaze instead.

Does the AIO or the Glaze deepen the red of my car... I know one of the two Klasse products makes the red of my car darker. I noticed the "candy" look but I didn't think it could get any better, good to hear you guys think otherwise. It's almost like the red paint gets "softer" and more "fluidy"

Yep, and Eric makes a really good point too. Before you go nuts layering anything be sure to clay first if it is needed. Man I can't wait to see pics with 15 coats of SG! That's going to look awesome. :xyxthumbs

I'll try to take some pictures, my parents went to college a bit back and have a really nice camera, it'll show all the defects :(

Anyhow, I'll take pictures and show you guys my car some time.

During the day it's red and during the night under lights it looks like hugger orange... it's a shape shifter!!!!

I think you will reach the point of little or no added shine at 3 or 4 coats, on the other hand I have never gone beyond 4 as I see little difference between 3 and 4. I see a lot more effect from putting a wax on top of the SG, something like Pinnacle Paste Glaz, Souveran and maybe Blitz.

15 layers of AIO. Hehe! Kind of like using 15 coats of Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion. NOT NEEDED!

Like the idea of 10 or more coats of Klasse SG.

15 coats of AIO would definately be overkill. I like your plan of layering the SG though. I have done this myself and it looks awesome! Want even more "pop"? Layer on some carnauba such as Blitz and you will not believe your eyes. Killer shine! :xyxthumbs

One more thing. The Klasse SG is the product that will darken the color of your paint a bit. It will make your red even redder and a bit darker. It does take a few coats to get this effect though. The Klasse SG also does a pretty good job of masking minor or even medium swirls up a bit. It will not remove them, only cover them up. Laters

15 applications of AIO?! I would two applications instead, firm pressure like ur rubbing it "in" for the first layer to take advantage of its cleaners... and lighter pressure on the second one. Then finish with however many layers of SG you want.

Good luck! :up

I put 2 layers of AIO on and then piled on the SG. I've got over a dozen of the SG now. On a light car it is just blinding. I've got pics in my sig but the resolution on the camera isn't that great but you'll get the idea. I love Klasse!

Chris and I were contacted to head to beautiful South Carolina to correct this very low mileage, 83 Ferrari 308 GTS.
