Original single stage paint needed wet sanding.. It had blotches on the paint in a darker hue than the paint on the car.. they looked large freckles.. all over the car. Only wet sanding would take them out.

Process

wet sand 2000 grit

rotory with PG

rotory with IP

rotory with FP

Wow that's gotta be one of the most immaculate Celica Supra! My dad had one for a daily driver, which then was given to my uncle and it was nowhere near the shape this car is in. I've never seen one in decent shape, they've all been beaters.

Nice work! I had a '80 Celica that was in pristine condition even though it was 10 years old. It only had ~50k miles on it and I would have it to this day if some bozo hadn't run a red light and totaled it out.:(

Such a classic design. That car came out before I was born but man do I want one.

Seeing it all dressed up and polished is just too much. I have to leave this thread. Next time don't do such a good job!

(jk of course!)

Car looks great, especially for it's age. :2thumbs:

What did you finish out the FP with (pad, speed)?

I always only use 1000rpm. Not sure what brand pad, I have so many and the names have worn off the backs from use.

Looks great! Where has the car been kept. My mother had an '81, white/blue. Seems like so long ago!

Very nice work . Was truly impress to see the first shots belong to that model car . Truly you deserve a round of applause .

 That Supra is immaculate! Nice work as always.

I had a '79 Celica. 22R engine and a 5 speed. Great all around car, took it well past 200,000 miles and everything on the car still worked when I sold it.
