I did some work on this car today for a friend . he did some undercarriage painting and overspray got on the front and rear fenders and running boards also got the trunk halfway up .. i clayed with sonus fine clay then used P&S dark supreme wax on the rotary to clean up the marring from the clay . started out at 1000 rpm to keep sling to a minimum then went to 1500 and finished polishing.i used a blue edge pad on the rotary . i also detailed the engine with P&S no rub polish and polished the aluminum with CDA metal polish by hand .

I agree. Very nice car!! Does a car that looks that nice make it more enjoyable to work on????

yeah thats a sweet looking car. How long have you used the cda polish bigron, i think this is the first time i've heard someone bring it up here. i always gotta have a few bottles of it on hand.

first i get real serious about what im doin when working on cars like this because there is no room for error . i dont get in a hurry about anything and go slow checking the paint finish as i go and i dont start messing with areas that dont need work . i also use the least aggressive methods i can to do the job . i used the rotary because i knew it would do a better job faster and the less steps you use the less chance of a problem . i do work on the owners cars pretty regular because he knows i can do it to his standards and he is real picky . its a priveledge to work on cars of this caliber . also im on my first bottle of cda polish and its great stuff . unless something better comes along im sticking with it

great work Big guy !! I'm still alittle nervous with a rotary because of not enough pratice.

I'll try that CDA polish. I'm using the eagle one wadding right now.

Nice job, that's an awesome car!

You might want to consider moving to Lake Country pads for the rotary. The VC pads are shaped so you can 'cup' your polish and not sling it all over the place. Keep polish away from the edge of your pads, and you'll notice a dramatic reduction in sling. I apply polish on the interior section of the pad (about an inch from the hole).
