18 Months of Dealer Abuse - A Blacura TSX

Awesome transformation Sean :xyxthumbs

What a shame to see such a nice and new car like that so deeply abused and in poor shape. I hope the owner is now aware of dealer detailers work.

My god that was a lot of swirls. Surprised the camera was able to pick up that many. :D

Very nice work Sean, I doubt the owner will ever let the other folks touch his/her car again. But unfortunately you never know huh!

Great work, how the new rims doin'? :xyxthumbs

Amazing! :bow

What I can't understand is how the owner allowed such abuse to continue. You'd think seeing a black car turn grey over 18 months would key something in their brain that would let them know something was wrong.

I'm very impressed that you were able to bring it back in just a few hours. :)

Well here were my final processes:

-QEW

-PB Clay with S+W lube

-Menzerna IP with wool pad @ 1750rpm

-Meguiar's #83 DACP with cutting pad @ 1750 rpm

-Menzerna IP with polishing pad @ 1500 rpm

-Menzerna FPII with polishing pad @ 1500 rpm

-Poorboy's EX by hand

I'm curious to know what product/pad combo you used before deciding on IP w/ wool. :D

this thread should be saved, as a reference to just exactly what dealer detailers are capable of.

i was dryheaving when i saw the before hood shot, and man all i can say is you are a miracle worker :up

Excellent work - this thread goes to show just what is possible when the right tools/products are available. I'm definitely going to have to order a rotary now!

Ben

Thanks everyone :D.

It surely was sad to see such a beautiful vehicle treated this way. On that note, I thought the interior was perfect, especially for the price. This car is just under 30k, while the day before I did a 60k Caddy SRX. In my honest opinion, the interior was far nicer (quality and looks) overall.

Kyle: Great! I am documenting the PB WS and am outside in 5 mins starting up my show car prep :).

merci: No question on this one...I knew the big sheepdog wool had to come out :D.

MAD skillz

I think that about sums this thread up for me.

I would say that that was an unbelievable transformation Sean...but I have come to expect this caliber of work from you!! :bow

I did a double take. At first glance I thought the pictures were two different cars. Do you make side trips to Maryland? LOL

I am getting ready to do my new daily beater and I hope the outcome is half as nice.

:bow

Outstanding Sean. Extreme Detail winner material here. I hope they compensated you for the pads. :)

As my friend Tony likes to say: "You got some skills man!"
