Just wow...That's all I can say right now.

Wow, I'm tired (3.5 hrs of polishing with a rotary!). Wow I went through 4 pads today. Wow I went through far too much polish today (total of around 10-12 ounces). And wow, this thing cleaned up better than I expected :D.

Started this baby around 11:3oAM and finished at 5:3oPM. The interior was a breeze (about an hour) and consisted of:

-Vacuum and spot treatment (303 Spot Remover)

-APC to clean everything

-VRT to protect

-4* Leather Conditioner on the seating

-APC to clean and Hyper Dressing to dress the rubber mats

Exterior in a min...BEWARE!!!

Well here it is...

This car was purchased about a year and a half ago from the local Acura dealer. The hood was killed by a rotary and wool pad/compound. On top of this, the owner works at the local Toyota dealer and has the "detailers" wash it reguarly for him. In all honesty, I don't think the car could've gotten more swirled if he drove through a tunnel wash everyday, for 18 months straight. Well here were my final processes:

-QEW

-PB Clay with S+W lube

-Menzerna IP with wool pad @ 1750rpm

-Meguiar's #83 DACP with cutting pad @ 1750 rpm

-Menzerna IP with polishing pad @ 1500 rpm

-Menzerna FPII with polishing pad @ 1500 rpm

-Poorboy's EX by hand

--Eagle One Wheel Cleaner on rims/tires/wells

--Meguiar's Hyper Dressing (2.5:1) on tires/wells

--Mother's Metal Polish with #0000 on exhaust tips and front plate

Well, I was unhappy that I ran out of Powergloss on my last detail and its on backorder for another few days. I really had to make due on this one but was very happy with the results.

Also, I think Meguiar's Hyper Dressing gets better with age, like a fine wine ;). I haven't used it in months and decided to mix up a new batch today since I was going through my BnB far too quick. It went on much nicer than before (beaded on surface before soaking in after ~5 mins). I used it on the mats, wells, and tires and was happy all around.

Enjoy all :D.

YIKES! Nice work. I bet he was a' happy camper when you were finished. I hope you told him not to let those hackers touch it ever again!

Crazy! A truly awesome transformation....that paint looked 12 years old and now it looks new. You truly have talent.

Congratulations!

Man you work majic. I really need to see you work. I would have given ya my SSR3 for that job if you needed it I guess I just have to give you a list of stuff in case you need to make an instant trade.....

holy moly! how'd it go from grey to black? ;)

3.5 hours of polishing with a rotary. i'd hate to know how long it take with a PC! awesome job sean! :bow

So you had to reach for the wool pad, huh ?

It hurts me to see "my" car so neglected and abused. I'm glad you made it look like new again.

Great job, Sean. :xyxthumbs

That first pic of the hood is just

Was it washed with steel wool?!

Sick transformation :bow

Was this the new EO wheel cleaner??

Thanks everyone.

I am sure feeling the after effects, but it was worth making the transformation and I was happy to please the customer.

Wow that really is an awesome transformation fellow TI member. :p

I'm so eager to get my practice in so I can do the same. I think I might have time this weekend to do that if weather permits. :woot:
