13 Places to Eat Before You Die....

YoSteve -- now, that's an idea. (Wow, it's like we are charting our own territory . . . doing experiments then reporting back to the group.)

If there was light dust on the car, I think the blower would do fine. If it was gritty stuff, I would have the "sandblasting" concerns others have voiced.

My first time at OK Joes. I've always been an Arthur Bryant's and Gates fan, but OK Joes was, indeed, spectacular!

Hey Bill,

How do they compare to Jack Stack's tips? Last time I was in KC I had the burnt tips at the Plaza restaurant and they were great.

I love KC bbq, wish I could travel there more often.

Wifey and I are restaurant lovers so living in NYC, we had a chance to got to many of the best (like Le Bernardin) but I think a few have been left off the list.

In NYC, personally I think Daniel is better than Le Bernardin. Both are amazing but Daniel is a bit better.

Best Pizza I've had (on the planet) is Grimaldi's in Brooklyn (and yes, I've been to pretty much every "top" pizza place in America), incluing Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix, Gino's East (Chicago), Giordano's (Chicago), the original Pizzeria Uno (Chicago) and Lou Malnati's (Chicago) but nothing gets close to Grimaldi's IMHO.

For Steak - Peter Luger's (NYC) or Mark Joseph (NYC), my two personal favorites.

I've also had food from Russ and Daughters, Katz's Deli and the French Laundry (another amazing place).

Hmmmmmmmmmmm.:drool5::drool5::drool5:

You really have to stop this. I am getting really HUNGRY.

Let's not forget Pat's Steaks in Philly. The best cheese steaks on the planet.

Very high on my list is Bartolotto's at the Wynn in Las Vegas. Chef Paul is among the best in the business in this country (IMO).

I love BBQ, so my goal is to EVENTUALLY go down South and try some of the better BBQ.

Not sure who's got the best spot, but I went to a few places in NYC and thought they were TERRIBLE!!!

!.

I guess I'm missing a lot in life as I have never been to any places on the list.I'm sort of a creature of habit and have been going to the same haunts since I can remember.

1. Mug N Bun root beer stand. Best tenderloin sandwich, cheese balls and
coney around.
Root beer still mixed in the basement.
2. Iaria's Italian resturant. Little hole in the wall that last time there ran
into Tony George of IMS and the mayor.
3. Ice House best chili in town hands down
4. Mann's grill on Tibbs Ave. Beef Manhatten single order that will feed a
family.
5. Shapiro's Deli downtown. Can you say cheesecake.
6. Charlie Browns on Main St Speedway the only place for breakfast with
chipped beef and gravy on Mondays.

If anyone is in St. Louis and wants a great steak, you can't go wrong stopping in at Citizen Kane's in Kirkwood. Great flavor and always cooked to perfection!

Houston has some of the finest food anywhere........

Steaks:

Taste of Texas
Pappas Steak House

BBQ:

Demaris
Hickory Hollow

Seafood:

Pappadeaux
Christie's

We're spoiled down south.........:D

papadeaux is really good! Lots of good seafood in Houston! My uncle lives on his sailboat and when we came back from a day of sailing we stopped at a place literally right next to the ocean that had some amazing food!

Down here in my hometown we have an amazing bbq place! Best I have had in my short life, its all so gooood! They smoke pretty much all the food, always a good eat, but I always over stuff myself when I go :D

papadeaux is really good! :D

Houston indeed has some outstanding restaurants.

Another vote for Papadeaux. I haven't been there in years but if I remember the menu had more choices than you could imagine.

Even during the week, if you didn't get there early you had a long wait to get a table. I wish there were more seafood places like Papadeaux.
