1/2 way there

Okay maybe a little more than 1/2 way. Here's what I've done so far:

1. Wash and clay bar

2. 3M PI III RC with cutting pad to remove swirls and light scratches

3. DACP with polishing pad

4. Klasse AIO with polishing pad

5. 1st coat of Klasse SG

I plan on two more coats of SG and topping it off with Souveran. While I am pleased with how it looks so far, I am wondering how I can get that wet look that I see on many cars here. Is this something that comes with multiple coats of SG?

I hope these pics come out but if not, can someone tell me why it is showing up as a link.

Thanks again!

Tc808, use the "IMG" tag instead of the "http" and you pics will show up in the post.

By the way the car looks great:up

Well, I'd say that you already have that wet look you are looking for but then again, we are only looking at pictures. You need one more step after DACP, or maybe even skip the DACP all together, since you are using the RC. I'd try #80 with a polishing pad before AIO, that should put you where you want to be.

Yeah, finer polish than the DACP should improve the look- but I sure wouldn't repolish now since you already have the Klasse on there.

I myself use PI-III MG (05937) after the PI-III RC when I'm using the K twins.

Thanks for the feedback and responses.

JDookie/Accumulator-

Yup, my bad. I should have used either #80 or 3M PI III MG before applying the AIO. I'll definitely remember to add this to my routine the next time I polish (probably 4 months from now). On the bright side, I put a second coat of SG on Saturday and a third on Sunday and it does look a little more 'wet'. I'll post a couple of pics after I get a chance to apply the Souveran.

Unfortunately the dealer added swirl marks to the list of options that my car came with. It was pretty light and could only be seen when the sun hit it from a certain angle but I knew it was there. I don't know if this is common but I have seen it on a few darker colored cars here.

Aloha!

Before you wax on top of the SG, you can get a surface so slick the MF will slide right off using UPP. Puts some more "wet" on top of the SG. NO BONDING ISSUES. In fact my Accord has AIO, SG, UPP, SG and UPP in that order. Oh yeah, there are several SUNUS Acrylic Spritz applications in there as well.

Thanks Gonzo. Ordered a bottle of UPP today and will try it out next week. Do you put more than one coat of UPP on top of the SG?

Thanks and Aloha!
