1.159/litre CDN is 3.67/gallon USD :wall

We're getting ripped off.

You're getting ripped off?! Come here to the UK and sample out fuel prices - we're currently paying £0.90p for a litre (yes litre!) of regular unleaded - that's $1.63USD per litre (or $6.16USD per US gallon)

Those with the highest gas taxes pay the highest gas prices. Blame you state elected officials first. Bush does not set local tax policy. He could release strategic oil reserves but that would only temporarily lower prices. Blame the environmentalists among you for not allowing us to be independent of foreign oil.

Just filled up this morning, $2.63 (87 oct) per gallon here in NY. I beleive the gas tax here is 0.37 cent a gallon to support the subway system. That burns me, I haven't rode the subway in 15 years yet I have to cough out almost thirty dollars a month for it.

Just went up to 2.58 for 87 octane "regular" here, plus and premium are ten cents more than the next lower lvl (ie 2.68 and 2.78) Makes me glad the cavi gets like 35 mpg on the hwy and 30 in the city. Twenty bucks goes a lot farther in the little four banger than any other car I have access to,

You can blame Saudi Arabia for the increase in gas prices. The old king died and we were not prepared for the price hike. Saudia Arabia pretty much sets the mark for the oil industry around the world. This, for once, is really out of Bush's hands. Demand for the summer and the supposed decrease in supply here in the US are to blame as well. CNN stated this morning the rising prices are due to the lack of refineries in the US. My comment was simply, "that's the first! They have a new excuse everyday!"

As long as we continue to purchase gas at these prices, then the oil companies have no problem charging $2.30+ per gallon on 87 octane.
$2.30!? Its 20% higher in Ca !!

Bingo........So you guys are telling me our government has nothing to do with Americas oil prices. He can surely speak to oil ministers and provide a comparable solution. Do you understand people are quitting there jobs because they can't afford to drive to work? Airline prices are also going up folks! UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL will all increase shipping fees folks, there is a trickle effect. Truckers are protesting on Frwys and ineterstates, holding emergency vehicles and familys, employees at bay, all because of the price of diesel fuel. So the federal government has no money for american oil companies to build alternative refineries, so when they break down or go down for maintenance, (which they do regularly) we dont run into supply/demand issues?

Whats going to happen when the #2 oil producing country (Iran) builds there Nuclear Reactor.......? Why is gas up to $1.00 more pg in Ca then in Ohio ? You going to tell me Arnold cant do anything about that ?

Isnt a rather vast qty of our oil, imported? Government has everything to do with Americas energy problems.......

Maybe we should inform Saudi Arabia we cant keep an eye on the border if these prices continue? Hmmmmmm, America has no bargaining power?

Sorry for the vent folks....But im really irritated by gas and the freeeekin price of a home in Ca.
