09 Mercedes S-65 Detail

Yea, thats an S55 AMG as it has the dual exhaust, AMG-specific body kit, and bumpers. Woa, a Diablo and a Z8!

You are one lucky man! Great job with the detailing too! Looks great! :up

Now if I could just convince the owners I should drive them around at top speed to make sure the wax stays on...:xyxthumbs

I get to clean some pretty nice cars, but the majority of my business seems to be pickups and SUVs.

BTW, the owner of the Z8 also has an M1-supposed to detail it one of these days-but it is in a warehouse and he is leaving it there until spring.

Did this job before leaving for SEMA and forgot about it.............. very nice car that I did once before as new, but it had been awhile(over a year!!) since then and the car required more attention than it should have if maintenance details would have been performed.

As seen in the pics the wheels/wheel wells were pretty bed and besides the paint correction needed, I spent extra time and effort on the hubmounting assembly/wedge brake calipers and since I was mobile and could not dismount the wheels I made sure the rotors were clean of residual moisture rust from the wash by going back and forth until the rotors were dry and clean then proceeded to clean and seal the wheels as needed.

The beginning.

A little "Scuffage".

There was not tremendous marring over the whole car, but what was there was deep!.

Spent extra time on the grill, as there was built up polish/wax from ANOTHER company left behind(clients may stray but they always come back to do it right as opposed to "Right now").

Wheel cleaned and ready for polish/sealant and dressing on the tire.

Exhaust tips were predictably bad....

Looking better.

Tips looking better, however there was some carbon deposits that could not be removed with anything I had in my arsenal.

Leaves and sand on the "Dreaded" low wire hair carpet, this type of carpet is a PITA to clean(VW's have this carpet in the trunk and the car) I would clean in this area for a good longtime(long enough to have my vacuum need a break!! and admittedly me too).

After.

On the home stretch on day two of the job, no sun pics as it was raining.

LED pics will have to do.

To keep the "Yeah right it was raining comments at bay"

Bummer on the sun pics, but you were sing'n in the rain

Top notch at usual and I noticed on one pic what looks to be some road rash on a rim... that won't buff out :D

Go from not seeing many of the S65's to seeing Two in the same week being posted. Quality of the vehicle (aside from the pesky trunk carpet) looks outstanding, which I'd expect from a car with this price tag. Work is top-notch as usual and I always find it funny when a client tries another place or two to only come back "If you think the pro's are expensive, you should see what the amateurs can cost you."

Marc, this statement is profound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and should be made a "Sticky" I am toying with the idea of putiing up two signs behind my desk in the line of sight........... one will read: "If you are looking for fast and/or cheap that will be problematic as this shop performs work slow and expensive" and of course what you just quoted!!!!!!! just outstanding......."LOVIN IT".

:iagree:

Very good quotes from Marc and Bob.. too many hacks causing damage that you pros have to work out costing more $$$ than if they came directly to you and stayed with you.

Love it. I have a customer with the exact car in white. One day while I was riding with him to the airport some chump in a Vette tried to test him. The AMG came off the line like a rocket, the Vette saw nothing but tailights. I was sitting in the passenger seat doing this \m/

Nice work Bob, beautiful colour @-)
