07 Lexus LS-460 Restorative Correction

A customer who has a M3, he wanted to know if I could "Work on" his wife's car........little did I know what I was in for.



During wash, 2 hours to strip off the LSP.

Now that the car was stripped............ I found the paint like this.

He we go...........over 14 microns removed to get the one side like this(The car had excellent readings and being a Lexus...high quality paint that came back to almost new condition).

Trunk was so bad the reflections from the halogens can barely be made out.

What did you use on the clear film?
 
Great work and very tight 50/50's! I hope they respect your work (and their money) enough to not let it get this bad again.

Q - what was the lsp that took 2 hours to remove? Do we know?





50 plus hours Thomas, as for the LSP it was tough to remove but it did not help the finish from "Focused abuse".(lol).
 
I am very curious about the method you used on the clear film. I tried using a flex 3401 with some megs power finish on my dad's clear-bra and all it did was scour and gum up. Please respond!
