Brand new with about 10,000 km's on it. Over all not bad condition, light marring and buffer trails. Have to say this was the hardest paint I have ever polished :hairpull . Maybe it's the new hard clearcoat from Germany.

Anyway the process was:

wash

clay

OHC/SSR3 (60/40) via PC cutting pad @6

FPII via PC polishing pad @6

OCW

Dress all rubber including wheel wells

Beautiful! 450 Hp right? How long did it take you?

No "520 hp" because it's the turbo S. He took me for a ride after, it goes like a raped ape. This detail took 8 hrs. I wish my new Hitachi would come soon. Like I metioned the clear was rock hard the OHC/SSR3 hardly touched it. This was the first Porsche I've detailed, I hope there will be more.

Nice "first porsche"! lol Once you jump on the Rotary train you will never look back. Be patient with practicing with the rotary at first of course, but after you get used to it, you wont want to pick up the PC!

DSVWGLI,

I tried doing my dads VW Jetta with OHC and it didn't do much at all 4 the swirls, are there any tips you can give me?

Thanks

Thats funny because my 03 Jetta's paint is very soft, OP will take out most marks. If you have some SSR3 I would add that to the OHC, makes it a little stronger. Use a 6" or smaller cutting pad with slow passes with a good amount of pressure. I move the PC so slow at times it's hardly moving, just keep checking to see it doesn't get the paint too hot, speed up a little if it does. You can work OHC for a couple of minutes at a time before you need to stop and you will probably need to go over it at least once more. Then use OP and a polishing pad.

I did one just like that Cayenne and I agree, rock hard paint. OHC with orange Cyclo cutting pads were slow go on it. The black ones though, ugh. The paint mars if you look at it wrong!

Really outstanding work. :up

Thanks, I just read at that post recently, looked fantastic by the way. So I take it the black ones are soft paint or are they hard as well but just marr easily?
