'06 Brilliant Red Audi A3 detail

Had the car for a year . . . and the car was pretty swirled up due to a dealer car wash (despite a big fat NO WASH" written on the service form). Later found out that the dealer washes with brushes and a cotton mop :shocked

This car also has a really bad clearbra on the hood. The job was complete junk and even after the re-do, it just doesn't look right at all. I'm surprised at how well the menzerna products helped in blending the paint vs clearbra.

Anyways, here were the products used.

Sonus SFX pads on PC

IP @ 5krpm

FPII @ 5krpm

FTG @ 3krpm

FMJ 3 coats

Zaino Z16/303 protectant mix on the trim

EO nanopolish on the tips

IG on the windows

Blackfire interior cleaner and protectant on the interior (no pics sorry)

First time playing around with the manual settings on the camera . . . seems like the color is a bit saturated . . .

Your paint looks fantastic, but the brake dust on your wheels really detracts from an otherwise nice detail.

um where do you see brake dust? They are painted grey on the interior of the rim.

LOL . . . . yes they are painted.

Sorry, no "before" pics . . . totally forgot about it.

Great looking ride. Our neighbors have the exact same car - - it looks very unique driving by.

Enjoy.

Nice detail and nice ride. The only part i dislike are the wheels. I think Audi and VW are going two-tone on the wheels b/c after 10 minues of driving and braking with a stock pad setup, they're that way anyway. Funny thing is that (as can be seen in 15951's post) the wheels look the same clean and/or dirty. At anyrate, no red looks better than Audi's and you've made that clear here!! Good job!

I don't see any brake dust on the wheels either. However the tires don't look like they have any dressing on them. Great red, the colour does look a bit saturated in the first couple of pics. Nice job with the products you used.
