well im tryin to prep my car for winter... its kinda early but oh well.. anyways process was... (1)wash (2)clay (3)wash (4)aio via pc w/ white pad @ 5 (5)klasse x3 24 hours apart for each layer, (6)p21s x3 24 hours apart for each layer.. (7)303 aerospace protectant on all trim and tires, (8)klasse sg x2 on wheels 24 hours apart for each layer (9)p21s x1 on wheels... iu felt like this is the best my car could look (besides layering more wax, or using souveran), so i decided to take some nice pics... please comment, and hope u enjoy the pics:

wow, the close-ups really make the metallics pop! really nice job! :)

just curious, did you use AIO before SG on your wheels? and did you get busted for driving your car onto such a nice lawn? :p

vinnymack: thanks... i was pretty happy with how the outcome was especially w/ the flakes

hirosh: thanks.. no i didnt use aio on the wheels... u think it would have made a difference? is that nxt metal polish out yet? no one was home when i was on the lawn, so shhh... :nono

:xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs  Really good job.

Off topic but have you ever thought of getting the DC5 Integra Type-R Spoiler for the rear of the car? :nixweiss

actually im glad u mention that cause thats the only spoiler i want... as well as the dc5 wheels in silver.... do you know of any place that i could get those for a good price?

Wow...Great warmth, wetness, and glow from silver. :)

How do your parents feel about you parking on the lawn :D ?

i don't know, i haven't used the Klasse twins before. but i've had people suggest to do so.....so my guess is AIO might make it last longer. :nixweiss i guess if it still feels the same as when you first put the SG on, it's okay. then it becomes a matter of how long it'll last.

i think the NXT metal polish is out, but i've heard it's for non-clear coated wheels and metals.

heh heh, you must've driven very slowly to not damage the lawn too badly. ;)

Stevie_UKAccord: nope, the rsx-s spoiler here is some dinky piece of ****.. its so low i doubt it does anyhing... i would love to have the integra type r spoiler (dc5)

GSRstilez: thanks.. parents dont know.. hope they never see these pictures.. :sosad

Carl Anderson:thanks

dafowl1: lol.. thanks.. i think so also

series1: thanks.. i was quite impressed with the way the metallics came out

hirosh: that seems true.. makes sense that it would help the sg bond... ill try that next time... i figured the metal polish wouldnt work on clearcoated wheels.. but i want to use it on my exhaust... yup your right.. i did drive very slow...

hey NavindraLR, my fellow LI Autopian. Let me first say nice job on bringing out that cars natural beauty. Nice reflection in that last pic. One question i have for you is if you have to prep the car in between the coats of SG and p21S being that dirt and debris might be collected in the meanwhile. This must of taken you like a week with all of the steps you took. Take care of that car, its worth it.

Is the RSX-S spoiler not the same:nixweiss

I'll have a hunt about see what I can find.:D

I've got the stock RSX spoiler...it sucks. It is a major PITA to wax/polish around. I am either going wingless or the Type R wing. Damn I wish I had Satin Silver like Navindra's

Nickshades: thanks.. yeah it did take me about a week, cause i washed the car inbetween coats (instead of quick detailing) and i waited 24 hours inbetween each coat.... it was worth it tho. if only u could feel how slick the car is...

SilverBelle04: thanks... saw your silver car... looking good

GS-R Jay: i figured it would be hard to wax after lookin @ your pic of it... the type r must be so much easier to clean underneath (obviously)... if you get it, let me know where, and how much... still lookin for a good place...

Kudos to a fellow Acura owner - its kind of scary how I am about to follow the same regimine (well with S100) next weekend.

I played with the idea of doing Trade Secret Pizazz, Paste Glaz, and Meg's #16, but I figured that with the 2 layers of Sealant Glaze first - durability shouldn't matter as much as the kind of look I am trying to achieve.

Have you heard anything about the quality (or lack thereof) of the "Honda" paints? Alot of the guys on my TSX forum say that it chips very easily. Maybe a clear bra is a good idea?

hell yeah they chip easily

:angry

I can vouch for that...my front end has little white specks (chips) all over it. About 95% of my driving is highway so that is to be expected. I am going to get touch up paint from the dealership and fill the specks in with a toothpick. I did it on my GS-R and it looked a lot better
