2500 miles on this '04 and it was swirled almost everywhere.
So the story goes that the go to guy in town who performs the maintenance on exotics won't refer the customer but brings them to my shop and wants a discount so he can upcharge the customer. Other then that, he acts like Heavens Gift to the World. And he needed it in two days! (Actually had it for 2 1/2 days and spent close to 32 hours including my helpers time on the interior, etc.) I don't have the paint readings here at home but the readings were 4 + to 7+/-! And with only 2500 mile on it I didn't know what to think. If it had been corrected before or not and the tech, who probably really didn't know and was to put out to ask the owner, said it hadn't. So I went light on the thinner areas. And sorry, forgot entirely about pics of the interior. Although I did polish out the CF door panels and cleaned up the aluminum door sills and the like.
After the wash, I clayed and there was slight marring; so I assumed soft paint. Not really. If anything it was maybe the softer side of hard. I used D300 and Optimum cutting pads on a new GG D/A. Following the first pass, I did an IPA wipedown and found some areas that didn't clean-up well enough. Stayed with the same pad/product combo and hit those areas again and it looked great.
Used a black pad and Menz 4500, followed by Griot's paint prep and inspected again. It looked perfect except for a couple deeper RIDS that I felt to leave well enough alone considering the time restraints.
Washed it yet again and followed with Poxy on a red pad and when I backed it out into the sun, D**M! Don't know if I caught a piece of dust or what, but there was the very, very slightest of, how to describe it, say the remnants of part of one part of a swirl here and there. Just a few but bummer. I thought I had finally joined the 'Autopian' club. Of course the tech couldn't see what I was talking about, but still. I pleaded with him to have the owner bring it back in for the next wash hoping for the chance to make it perfect. Slim to none that that will happen.
Going to order some of the new B&S MF pads. Wish I had time to try out some of the foam B&S foam pads I have on the 3401. I'm beginning to feel like I'm getting stuck in a rut with MF and D300.
It was cloudy and overcast the day I finished so the after shots are in the shop.

A few After shots Didn't have time to polish the carbon fiber on the inner quarter panels.
