03 Mustang GT, new combo...Prime/Natty's Blue Results

Well while my brother was up for spring break, I decided to do the car once again for him and try a new combo (at least for me). The car ended up getting a wash with Meguiars GC, Prime via LC White pad and PC set at 4/5, then I applied Natty's Blue Paste wax via Black pad and PC (speed 3/4)...I think the results speak for themselves but I was wondering if there are really any problems with this combo? I'm interested to see what kind of durability he will get out of it!

I'm going to go with a Canon Powershot of some kind??



Car looks great, I use Natty Blue over AIO on really metallic flake paints and it really makes it pop, and my buddy said that even after 6 months hes still getting decent beading from just doing really good washes. I saw him the other day and was pretty embarrassed at myself, for being so low maint. with his vehicle, the swirling and such was very minimal.
 
Great work, you did some amazing detailing there! I thought the GT was black until I saw your interior shot. I don't see any problems with the combo, I might try it out this year myself after seeing your results. Oh I'm also a bit envious of your weather too!:xyxthumbs

Oh, I'm shooting with an A620, manual settings...nothing special, I'm debating on whether or not to order gears, suspension, and a few other go fast goodies for my car, or just go ahead and get a d50 :nervous:
 
Ok, so I pulled the car out today in the sun, and there were some light Holograms on the car...I'm not sure what they are from, but I've had this problem before when applying paste wax's? Am I not letting the paste cure for long enough or what? There is still some leftover residue on the sides of the paste wax (at least thats what it seems like...) or am I actually causing these holograms finishing the car with a black pad on the PC??? It seems to help if I go over the car with a spray detail and wipe where the holograms are, I'm really not sure what they are from?! Any help would be appreciated :hairpull



EDIT: Here are some pictures, you can see the tiny hologram in the first picture in the rightr hand side of it, then in the second I have an arrow pointing to the problem areas, none of the holograms are bad, but they are still somewhat visible

Yep those look like what I like to call "product holograms". If certain products (usually oily ones, although I've had this problem with Z5pro) are not wiped down completely, you get a hologramming effect on the surface. Usually a good QD will take it off.



You might just be using too much wax on the pad - I had the exact same problem once applying CG 50:50 to a black BMW. I thought I had screwed up bigtime with the rotary until I went over the car with OCW and a plush towel... problem solved.



Nowadays I try to use a bit less wax on the pad - only enough to prevent the pad from dry-rubbing and causing marring. You know you've done it right if you occasionally need to test the pad on glass or trim to see if there's still wax on it.
