'03 modded Cobra vs stock '06 Z06 Corvette (video)

eh, i still think of it this way:

Cobra=40k

Z06=75k

Z06>Cobra

but

Cobra + 35k in mods =

Cobra>Z06

well, in a straight line anyways, i still highly doubt that the thing can turn

Or we can go Ford GT ($100K +) vs. Z06, BTW the Z06 will win.

Or 02 Camaro SS ~ $25K + $15K in mods vs. stock cobra - SS will win

Or, 97 Trans Am (intake & exhaust) vs. 05 Mustang GT (exhaust) - Trans Am won, with 93K miles on the odo.

See GM is always better. :bigups

You guys can compare numbers all day long and argue over stats.

I'd gladly take any car that has been mentioned in this thread and have the most fun in my life with it. FWD, RWD, AWD, 1 liter to 7 liters. American to Japanese to European. :D

Ditto

While I would love to own any of the cars mentioned in this thread, give me a stock Suzuki Hayabusa and I will embarrass each and every one of them for less than 15 grand. For that matter I could probably go out and buy a used Honda CBR1100XX for 6 grand and do the same thing except maybe that Bugatti that Scott mentioned :D

:dance :rofl

That's what my gsx-r600 did when I showed him those pictures. Did the busa ever come in a dark green and black paint scheme or did the one i saw today have custom paint? It looked really sharp.

I'd like to know how to keep something like that down too. I know in first and second my 600 (only 100ish rwhp) likes to get the nose up, the busa must want to get the front up through 4th lol.

Dang bikers...I'd kill myself with something that fast and no metal around me. Ride safe all. I lost two friends to bikes this year. And two more of my friends just got bikes. Just be safe and look out for other crappy drivers.

you would be suprized at how much power these bikes can make

I have a friend who just moved to florida with a turbo busa that puts 340 hp to the ground and almost 200 tq and he rides it hard

So far nothing I have found seems to beat the HPA tuned GTI R32/Audi TT

The GTI with mods/labor is around $30000 +$32000 for the car that will beat almost everything that is available today at any price.

0-60 in 3.2 seconds 1/4 mile in 11.00 & 127.00 mph

http://www.hpamotorsport.com/media_videos.htm

In the 1/4, there are many cars that can beat that for less than thirty grand in mods. Hell, buy a 2002 Z06 and a bottle of nitrous...

Name any car, and there's one faster.

I think it's a testament to the Z06, though, that it's being compared to so many cars. Obviously it's not hard to name modified cars that will beat it stock in any performance catagory. But overall and for the price and being stock, it's hard to name many. It's a lot of bang for the buck! (And it's the first Corvette with wider stock tires than my 1990! It can't quite touch the 7,200 rpm though)

Plus, it's not like the Z06 is immune to modification. What do you think a few grand in exhaust and intake work will do for it? What about more serious money? What do you think a twin-turbo package will be like?

Edit: As an aside, in this video, am I the only one wondering why they stayed in it? I mean, what, is the Cobra gonna suddenly hit its stride and catch up? Why drive so dangerously on the street for no real reason like that? They must have covered a few miles of road easy.
