30 grand is ALOTT for aftermarket mods. plus i think the fbody platform has that vw beat anyway. take 35000 for a new t/a ws6 (brand new 0 miles back in 02). and take a nice turbo setup around 18 psi and u got a easy single digit car.

either way i still think that 95% would rather have a mid 11 sec z06 than a 11 vw.

to each their own :lol

I am the 5% for sure, but I never cared for that Fbody.

30K is not that much if it beats true exotic cars and seats 5 with lots of trunk space. I think you are comparing apples with oranges.

How long do you think that the HPA R32 could sustain those kinds of power numbers anyways. I mean really, side mount intercoolers? Heat soak anyone? Alot of the 0-60 time deals with an AWD launch. I'd like to know its 5-60 time. Not trying to bash (even though as I re-read this it sounds like I am), but I think I'd rather have the Z. I would like to see what HPA could do with an aftermarket front bumper with a huge cutout for a large FMIC and running open downpipes.

Long live the Fbody. It Was the baddest non corvette that chevy had going (even made some vette owners take notice between '98 and '02...you and I know why!)

You can make anything go fast on the street these days, so to each his or her own.

But the Z06.....any z06 :bow :woot2:

i think your 600 should take it in the quarter?

what year is it?

if its an 01 or newer its capable of running high 10's

Heat soak - watch the videos.

If interested you can visit their site (www.hpamotorsport.comor www.vwvortex.com) (r32 forum) I remember that the 0-30 was 1.2 seconds

Did you watch the videos?

No I didn't. I'm on 56k. What's in them?

Attic, its a blue/white 04. I can't launch worth a crap though. I either bog down or spin the tire. I don't have enough clutch/throttle finese. But hey, I've only been riding it since feb of this year and only started trying to ride it hard recently so I'm still kinda new to it. I'm sure with a good rider it could.

Give me the same size tire as the Zo6, and I'll bet it would be a different story. Maybe...

I'll gladly take that new Bugatti Veyron. 1001 horsepower, 0-60 in under 3 seconds, estimated 10.8 @ 140 in the quarter, 253 mph top speed and all for only $1.25 million!

ya... the GR-1 is a crazy concept for sure. I would like to think that it would make it into production but with the way gas is and other crap, I don't know if ford wants to drop the ball on a v-10 powered car.

I would like to see how this cobra fares against the Z06-

http://www.caranddriver.com/article.asp?section_id=19&article_id=9638

475 hp @ 6000 rpm

450 ft/lbs @ 3750 rpm

Just another fat pig mustang. At 3600lbs, maybe more its not going to be beating much.

Traction didn't decide that race.... :LOLOL

True, but I can't hook anywhere near like that Cobra. My car is useless for first and second gear and I want another 75 RWHP....why I don't know!

My Chevelle was the same way. 4.11s and a 4000 stall with street tires..... :hairpull

Ugh! At least your cars have weight transfer on your side. With the tC it isn't much of an issue, but back when I had the SRT-4, and its somewhat powerful wrong-wheel drive system, first and second and if pushed hard enough the first part of third was nothing but a scarey outburst of tire smoke and wheel hop! This was completely stock too at only 221 to the wheels. Damn FWD.

You guys can compare numbers all day long and argue over stats.

I'd gladly take any car that has been mentioned in this thread and have the most fun in my life with it. FWD, RWD, AWD, 1 liter to 7 liters. American to Japanese to European. :D
