03 Cobra with NTX

I know p21s makes a whole heap of products, but in this case I knew he was referring to the carnuba

The NXT Bonded well to the p21s? Why did you NXT OVER the p21s and why not the other way. I am just trying to find a way to get black really deep, rich and wet looking.

Here is my '01 Mustang GT with NXT Tech Wax. I previously had Meguiars Medallion Premium Paint Protection on it.

There are more pictures of my 'Stang with NXT TW on it at my webshots page in my sig.

Wow...that looks insane. Wonder what it will do on black...I also remember u have other insane pictures i liked. What do you like best for your stang what have u seen work best on black?

I never thought of NXT first and p21s after - thats a thought. I was looking through all my stuff to put on a good polish, before the NXT. I only had two polishes Megs and p21s. Tried both and p21s won.

rlspringer, you said in your first post you used P21s polish, others are thinking you used the paste wax, can you please clarify what you used.

P21S carnauba paste wax or P21S GEPC

Should look awesome! NXT TW does leave a very deep, wet and glossy look. I think there are some pictures of NXT TW on a few black cars over on www.showcargarage.com.

I used p21s POLISH and not paste wax. When I detail cars I usually do dacp to remove swirls and minor scratches, then use a good polish next, and finally top it all with a good wax - NXT or Megs wax, p21s or S100, or Moosewax. I want to try some other polishes and waxes, but money is tight right now.

very nice, I have a Redfire 03 Cobra Vert. I have used Zaino to date and have been happy but always looking for the "wet" look. Was about to order clearkote products but saw the NXT info. Looks good on laser Red which I believe is a few shades lighter than Redfire. I think I'll give it a try.

There are really a couple of methods I use with a terry cloth towel (terry cloth towel has a ruff surface to allow dacp to do its work:

1. Get a pad and cover it with terry cloth towel (I get the ones from SAMS since they are 12x12). While applying go in circular motion.

2. Fold a terry cloth towel into 4x4 section and apply it the same way.

There might be some other ways, but I find those work the best for me.

I do frequent the board and knew you were on here. I post all the time there.

I have a Steeda CB, Dr. Gas O/R X Pipe, Steeda CAI waiting to go on. I will be doing the SFPHQ 2.80 DUB Package with Superchips flip chip and their suggested belt. 500RWHP is close and not far away.

Juiced 46 and Young Stallion,

good to have Cobra brethren here. Juiced it was your post on clearkote products that got me searching for the ultimate wet look. Now I'm not sure if I should go with Clearkote products to try or NXT. I am currently a Zaino user.

As for mods, I have installed a triax and and an Amazon CAI. Next Magnaflow catback( i want it quiet) and then after warranty - Apten blower, 3.1 pulley. and tune. Wa hoo!

Right on! You will be very happy with the Clearkote system. I highly recommend it and so do many others here. It is much easier for me to recommend a product here because I know I have much more support behind me! I am picking up some NXT tomorrow, cant wait to try it out! I am always willing to try out a product at least one. I am sure I will like it, but I will be very selective on the cars I use it on. I have never been too thrilled with Meguiar's durability so only time will tell.

Young Stallion. Thanks for the heads up on Steeda. I am looking for more performance but with without it being too loud. I think the maggies are as close to stock as possible.

Cobryan, Thanks for the endorsement on Clearkote I may order their show special package for 60 buck and give them a try. Let me know how you do with NXT. Awaiting your results.
