Detailing Rottweiler
Aurora40 thank you for the kind words! That car is an all aluminum 346 cubic inch 2002 spec LS6 with a heads and cam package. The "454" badging and all the other "Motion" badges are actual circa late 60's original badges from the original Baldwin Motion Camaro's. Joel Rosen gave the complete set to my friend since he used their Motion theme for his ZL1. All the original Baldwin cars came with 454 cubic inch motors...that's why he used the badges. Even though he doesn't have the displacement that "454" number is VERY close to his actual rear wheel hp. 6 in one half dozen in the other.
That matte looking section in front of the hood scoop is actually a decal. All the other stripes on the car a painted...perhaps a half dozen or so ZL1's had their full stripe kit painted on instead of a decal kit...this is one of those painted cars. That exhaust is a complete one off custom set-up. No other ZL1 has it nor did SLP ever offer anything like it. It might look familar because the tips he used for the exhaust system are the same tips GMMG used on their Home Depot Silverado project.
6']['9 that paint job is a custom paint scheme...no other ZL1 has it. The car actually started life as a black B4C car and was painted that gun metal grey color. I believe it is actually a Porche color. The stripes and tail section of the car are painted black and there is a mile deep coat of clear on the whole she-bang! The rims are factory GM magnesium Corvette rims that are 18x9.5" all the way around and fitted with 275/40/18 Goodyear F1 Supercar tires.
