No, it's not AIO or Zaino, it's Liquid Glass x 2, and Mothers pure carnuba x2.

The AIO is on my other two cars. After testing on this one, the Liquid Glass looked the best.

amazing....you must go out of your mind keeping it that way....i know black is a mother to care for...but that....every little smudge....i've never seen that color before....:up

you da man'

Wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow! Is that Beetle chrome plated?!?!

Very unique! Very cool pic!

wait, but what kind of color is that? if its similar to say... chrome, then its pretty easy to get a good reflection...

but honestly thats a really unique color for a car... better yet, a bug

A friend of mine swears by Liquid Glass (2001 Black Chevy Suburban). I think it's about time I give LG a chance. I am going to experiment with it on my next detail job.

Liquid Glass and AIO are both acrylic based so you would probably get the same great results. I think Liquid Glass was around in the 70's. I am positive it was around in the early eighties. I do not think it would have been around this long at 18 dollars a bottle if it was junk. Just like AIO a little goes a long way. Someone I knew used it and would wax three times a year and he still had half a can left at the end of the year. It does have a stronger odor and a I believe has stronger solvents for cleaning.

The guy only posts four times and he already has to show off his beautiful car. Some people are so rude. :)

I love mug pics! Been so busy, haven't been able to put my "yearbook" page together (it's going to be a collection of pics of people "in" their cars). Keep this one handy.

You guys and your dark mirror cars. I have satin silver paint so reflectivity isn't the greatest, but at night or early in the morning or late in the day, it really sparkles (check out Passsat pics on my site, if you like)

Welcome to the board, look like you can teach us a thing or two. Nice contrast on the floor two, if must be nice to detail there :)

Later, Steve

YoSteve -

Not to take anything away from Lep's shot, which is awesome, but here's another for your collection. I call it "self porschetrait"

Now wait a second!! I have brought up Liquid Glass a few times and everyone pooh poohs it. That pic is pretty close to the coolest shine I have seen here. Maybe it doesn't last as long or it isn't as easy to apply or wipe off, but that is one killer shine!!! Kudos...

okay car guy, you better change you name to car$guy, because you have quite the lineup (not saying many of you don't). I also think that your measley A6 :) deseves a website.

H [/b]</blockquote>I've used LG in the past; I liked it . . . nice shine, long lasting, easy on/off, could apply in the sun. The downsides (imo) were lots of dusty residue when wiping off, and the car became a dust magnet for a day or two until the product cured. If I hadn't found Zaino, I'd still be using it.

Lord knows that picture says some good things about LG, what an incredible reflection. Pics like that make me wish my car was black, even with all the hassles of trying to keep a black car looking good. Big :up on the Bug, just stunning!

I currently use liquid glass and last weekend start using zaino.
i haven't had a dust residue problem with LG probably because i apply it thinly.

the bimmer got the zaino treatment last week and the shine was awesome, but so was the results with LG.

i was hoping zaino would remain slick longer than LG, but it seems like it wears off in the same amount of time.
I use my door handle as an indicator. there's nothing like the feel of a freshly coated doorhandle against your fingers :)

just for the heck of it, i applied z6 to the 'lude that has coats of liquid glass and it glossed it right up and freshened the slickness.

I used the Liquid Glass Pre-Cleaner on my car to remove the dealer applied acrylic mess before coating it with Souveran. I found it much easier to work with than PPCL and the results were excellent! I think LG products are slightly under-appreciated... I would love to see a real scientific experiment like carguy did with Zaino and Klasse. Really run it through the paces with categories like ease of application, wipe, cure time, cleaning abilities, layering, covering swirls, slickness and beading, shine and durability, and cost. Maybe I forgot something, but that would be a good start. I am waiting for Blackfire's debut as well and see if it lives up to its super duper claims!! :bounce

Well, I'm a lucky SOB for sure.

But I freakin' hate the Audi. I bought it for my wife, who loves it. It really is an excellent car and it hauls a$$ - but they market it as a "driver's car" and it isn't. It has way-overpowered, no-center-feel, no feedback numb steering so you have no communication/confidence when driving it aggressively. And it has an automatic that must use Slick 50 for transmission fluid - shifts are vague and slow. They give you a "tiptronic mode" which does absolutely nothing to remedy the situation - you cannot even command 1st gear in it. (and except under FULL throttle, the car will shift out of 1st in about 10 feet of roll. I'm not exaggerating.)

Other than that, it's a perfectly nice car. :) If I were to do it all over again, I would choose the BMW 540i in a heartbeat. (In my opinionThe 540i is the second best sports sedan on the planet. The M5 is first! :D )

When I pulled the bug in for the fall detail, I pulled the bra off and found some paint damage, spots\etchings, was I mad. After a Vinegar/dawn wash, I used 3m SWR and nothing, went and got some 3m PF2 and nothing, actually it left a haze, went and got some Meguiar's SR9 and bingo! that did the trick. Then tested side by side LG vs AIO, AIOx2 and SGx2 and LG still won, wow was I surprised. I knew LG was good I had been using it for about 4 years now, but doing the same test on the Mustang and on a Merc we have, AIO ended up winning. I wished LG would have won on the Merc, because IMO it is easier to use and that Merc is such a big car.

Thanks for your comments, I appreciate them.
