It was raining quite heavily. Parking was limited so opted to do a ONR wash inside the garage. I started with the roof and windows, moved to the trunk, hood, then upper sides, lower sides, wheels and wheel wells.
Sorry no pictures. I kinda spaced on that one.
I started taking pics after claying and taping. I had figured out i was going to start with Sip, edge orange pad @ 1400-1500 rpm. Several spots i used Sip on yellow pad at 1600. I put a fair amount of pressure into the paint. With the sun gun i was able to see a good deal of buffer trails/rotary burn. That was to be expected with the amount of swirls it had.
I then followed up with 85rd on blue pad at 1300 rpm for the drivers side, the passenger side had a lot of marring still. So i used 106ff at 1500-1600 rpm to clear that up. Then finished out with 85rd at 1400 rpm.
Pics. This first image shows the haziness around the bottom of the lights. The marring was much more evident with the sun gun which ran out of juice the last 2 panels of the car.
FWIW i use a very wide angle lens. It is difficult for me to get super close to the marring to take a picture of it..

At this point you can see some of the marring on the door panels of the passenger side.
Even this far away you can see the halogens staring out from the marring
After sip, but before 85rd. Not shown is the very slight micro marring and rotary burn left behind.
Passenger side before 106, On full view you can see a tiny bit under the light.

1z glanz used for sealant, CG new look on most of the trim. This bmw had painted flat trim, it did not want to finish out well. gummi phledge on the rubber trim, VRT on the side trim, ONR on the windows. Final wipe down with 1z detail spray. Under carriage spray on the wheel wells.
