where is the 'drool' smiley when you need it? :D

that shot of the rear window looks like the batmobile, but this supercar is way cooler than that! :xyxthumbs man, you must've had fun polishing this sexy machine. just curious, how bad was it that it would need a machine polish? the usual swirls?

Here is a picture, the only BEFORE picture I took. It can be seen that there are some rather heavy swirls/scratches and if allowed I would of actually wetsanded the cars heavy orange peel.

Machine polishing something like this though, with all its angles and vents, would be an edge-of-your-seat experience for sure!

Scott - Yeah, this was a super nice car to rub on. The dealer guys would make jokes about the people coming in just to drool over the car. Everyone wanted to open the car and sit in it.....lots of people taking pictures of it. There is no way the dealers would open up that car unless they KNEW you were serious about buying it. Some people would look insulted because they could not sit in the car....dude can't even afford shoe laces to properly tie his shoes....so yeah, lets let you sit in a $500,000 car so you can rip the leather with that cool chain hanging from your pants!!

I am SOOOO looking forward to really getting my hands on this car for a proper detailing, if and when that times comes I will be sure to update this thread:xyxthumbs

A $500,000 dollar vehicle that comes with orange peel. Thats just wrong. Did the car come from the factory with the swirls and scratches or did the clowns at the dealership install them free of charge?

Orange peel? :shocked...I'm very surprised...Porsche paint is very good in my experience.

Gorgeous work Anthony! What a treat to work on such a fine car.

Anthony,

Glorious detailing as always! :bow All by hand, done correctly, as we see here, can be a wonderful thing.

Superb - Keep up the Great work!

By the way - what is Optimum?! Just curoius as always!

Cheers,

I would be scared skinny to take a half-million dollar car out onto Houston streets! Any streets for that matter! Course for a BB player, what's that 3-4 games worth of pay?

Nice smily's you have there. I saved them so I can use them one I get my butt up and fix my server.

I think I got late to the party, since I cant see the pictures. Maybe the firewall is blocking them...:sosad

Just might be on your side.....pictures work OK for me.

Anthony, thats some respect there. I saw the car through the window the other day driving by. Never would've thought an Autopian detailed it, well... maybe you.

I heard Tim Duncan ordered it, but as you said didnt fit. LOL!!

None of the Spurs fit!! :D I really want it to go to someone here in SA but really only the Spurs can afford to drop half a mil on a car!

Good work Anthony, just curious how did you work in IP by hand?

Hey Jay....I applied the IP by hand with a MF applicator. The pad is slightly dampened with water. I worked the product until just about evaporated and bufed out the panel.

Thanks again folks,

Anthony

First off excellent work Anthony, that's one of those things that should need no mention, but I'll do it anyway.

You mentioned earlier that you'd have a little apprehension with driving the car. True that would be a lot of money at stake, but I couldn't help thinking about driving down the highway, having a cop clock an unreasonable speed and just saying "**** that."
