    Jay Leno`s ceramic soap...

Hopefully my review didn't make it seem like it is not a good, soap, its a fine soap, but it offers no slickness once it dries.

    PANEL WIPES

I stuck my head in my local Ollie's hoping for some One and Done, none found but wow did they have a lot of Mothers Panel Wipe. $5.99 for I think a 28oz bottle. At half that I might have tried it....

    Jay Leno`s ceramic soap...

Well I grabbed some. My hope was that it was going to be a good wash and leave the paint super smooth like Uber or TW Ceramic wet wax. Observations with ~40ppm water: Good lubricity at 4 oz to 4 gallons, similar to 1.5x recommended hyperwash dilution. Fair foaming. Rinses well. Decent not...

Any long term thoughts on this stuff, I'm thinking of picking some up.

    Crunchy Backing on Carpet Mats

That's fantastic. I have a few that are getting crunchy too, I'll have to remember this thread.

    Gyeon evo MOHS.

Looks great. Is it as slick as a spray ceramic?

Accumulator, you bring up a great point, traditional waxes absolutely look better on certain finishes, especially on less than perfect paint!

Better, it depends. If you maintain the Collinite regularly. maybe. Once a month would be ideal. That's the challenge though and where good quality spray waxes and sealants come in. I posted this in another thread, when I was used car shopping, I saw a few cars that had ceramic coatings come...

    Backing Plate Repair

When you see what it is, you will for sure think I'm a nut. However the stuff is so tacky, it even bonds to vinyl siding. I can't even scrape it off my putty knife without using a razor blade. And then it needs steel wool or solvent to get the leftover film.

    PANEL WIPES

Glad to hear someone else came to the same conclusion. AIO+Spray Wax/Sealant/"Ceramic" will keep your paint as nice or better than a coating left alone. The worst are the ceramics that demand toppers. WHAT A JOKE. Send me a $100 and I will apply that ceramic via zoom call, then use your...

    Backing Plate Repair

I thought about Shoe Goo or E6000 at first but IMO OSI Quad Max might even be better. It remains flexible but needs some pretty extreme solvents to remove.

It didn't use to be bad until they started selling prep wipes.

I like Walmart 90% IPA, for coatings anyway.

Confessions of an Old Forum Member by Captain Obvious

Must have been more detailing heresy! Its all possible but futile until the end, if anything we should share ways to contact each other for when the inevitable happens. I was poking around some old threads, just in case you thought the crazy posts were a social media thing... we had crazy...

Confessions of an Old Forum Member by Captain Obvious

I am, I'm yakky over there (as I was here before I twisted the old leaderships arm to give me the Dan account...lol). And yeah, agreed on the division, dividing. I really love forums, facebook really sucks. It pulls in the fools like flies to poop. And the way FB works is it put the...

Confessions of an Old Forum Member by Captain Obvious

I'm happy the forum is still up at all, but it stinks no new members can join. Its kinda fun to poke around the old threads. I have the capabilities to launch a new forum but I'm confident we'd lose 7/8 of the folks that are here.

    Suds Lab Ceramic Spray

Yeah this would probably be fine for wheel duty but I took it back. I have enough crap on my shelf that outperforms this by a good amount.

Question on ceramic adherance on new car w/ Simoniz on it

Yeah, no doubt most car dealers are slime. A few good ones but the majority are out there to empty your wallet. I've purchased 50+ cars, it's a fun game for me now. I enjoy the look on their faces when they realize I am 110% emotionally detached from the car. At times I feel sorry for them...

Question on ceramic adherance on new car w/ Simoniz on it

I'd be more worried about the oils left behind from 205 than the original coating. I'm not entirely convinced the majority of cars that are dealer coated have anything more than a spray sealant thrown on after their initial wash. Its funny how much Simonize coating makes it onto Ebay. $35...
