2002 QX4 Bird Poop, need to clean and polish that and coat that sucker. Just deciding in what to use, EXO bc I know it or Cquartz UK to try something new?

2009 MDX-Opti-Coat almost 2 years and it looks great, still easy to clean and I only wish the beading were tighter.

2012 Subaru-OptiCoat Same time and results.

Note both of the above were opticoated bc my wife and son don't care for their cars and I was looking for reduced maintenance. Mission accomplished.

2013 M37X Sport-EXO v2- looking good and wearing well.

Seems like something is missing ?????

Currently I have GTechniq C1 topped with multiple coats of GTechniq EXOv2. I continue to add coats of EXOv2 every quarter or so (more like when I have time to) and love it. It allows me to still work on the car, unlike Opti-Coat and some others (I used to have it but took it off because I didn't care for the look) while having the long-term protection that I really wanted for this stage. Love the combo and wouldn't trade it for a lot of the other options on the market today.

I note that you have coated wheels with either OptiCoat or PBL Surface Coating. I am pretty new to coatings, but I just used PBLSC on the wheels of one car (the rest all are sealed with Zaino CS). It went on easily, but I am not thrilled with the look. (Could be the wheels, though). How do you find PBLSC compared to OptiCoat for use on wheels?

Thanks!

In my opinion Opti-Coat is the best & longest lasting coating especially for wheels. I you are going to go through the whole process to clean and prep wheels for a coating I would suggest OC.

PBL Surface Coating is working good, but it is more of a long life sealant to me at this point. For the amount of work required I will most likely go back to using BF Metal Sealant to top up my wheels as I can apply it post wash and get 2+ months durability. And it gives me something to do.

We have a three way tie between:

SEALANT
COATING
SEALANT TOPPED WITH WAX

Some day, in the not too distant future, I could see myself using a sealant, :funny: As long as it looks like a wax!

My Tundra has Black fire wet Diamond and add Prima Hydro MAX Super Spray every 2-3 weeks after I wash it.

My Camaro has just Prima Hydro MAX Super Spray on it so far but its a toy and only has 1500 miles on it. Trying to figure out what I want to put on it I have Hydro 2 coming try that on wifes car first (also black) see how I like it and figure out how to use it.

Arsenal includes Prima Hydro MAX Super Spray, BFWD, Collinite 845, BF total polish and seal, chemical guys hybrid v7, and a lot leftover over the counter Meguires and mothers products. cant wait to experiment.

I am also using this stuff on our work trucks trying to find the best bang for the buck/time product to use when i do compound-polish-seal on them. Big-ole rubbish trucks just trying to make the paint jobs last 3000-5000$ bucks just to repaint a cab with few repairs. so trying to invest in paint care even though the guys that drive them dont care bunch animals.
