For what it is worth I have a 13 Charger RT Black Top and I think it handles pretty well on the track for a boat.
I recently did progressive paced laps at Lightning Race Way in NJMSP, so it was follow the leader with no pacing ,but at the end of the day we were flying. After some class room driver education and instruction we hit the track at a max 60 mph, to get a feel for the track and then discuss in the class room. My group consisted of a 13 Subaru BRZ, 14 Camaro SS 1LE and an 03 BMW 550I, we were later joined by another BRZ because his group was too slow lol.
We did 5 36 mile sessions at 20 mins each. I used sport mode the entire time and the RT held up with no issues whatsoever. The BRZ's were killing me and the Camaro at first, but then we would catch them on the straights. We were hitting 115-125 mph on the straights. The 550I owner didn't want to push it, so I didn't even see him in my rear view. The 2 BRZ's were on the instructors ass, which was a Subaru WRX, the whole time. By the last session the Camaro SS 1LE got the hang of it and hung with the Sub's in the turns and would have killed them on the straights. I was trying to keep up with the Camaro, but the RT is a big girl and likes to push in those turns. I could feel the tires wanting to give. The 1LE pkge is a sweet track package and the Sub's way 2700 lbs. All in all it was a blast and I would like to do it again, only next time hot laps with an instructor. Maybe I was just being a bit cautious with the RT, but when I felt like my tires might come off the rim in a turn I let off the throttle.
Side note: There was an intermediate group running hot laps which consisted of Porsche 911's, BMW M3, Audi S4, BMW Z4, Miata (crashed) and a few other German cars with 1 lonely Camaro SS 1LE. They would hit the track after us and we would watch that Camaro kill everything, at one point he was 12 secs ahead of the group. The Camaro was completely stock except for an exhaust cut out mod that allowed all the baffles to be open all the time. Me and the other Camaro owner didn't see any visual mods, but it could have had a tune. Regardless of a tune or not, this guy could drive and his that Camaro handled very well.
